There is one Project 2010 file that when I saved it Save as several times, the Project just shoot down. No error message, no warning, data not updated, etc. Now it doesn't open.
I tried to save the file as an xml file and then open it in project 2007 and saved it. Then I try to Open in Project 2010, the Initializing Places window comes up, the progress bars go across a couple times and then Project shuts down (without even the option to select a specific file to open).
I've also gone back to "working" versions of these files from a Sharepoint site, but versions that I'm pretty sure worked just fine before eventually cause Project to close / crash.
So, I'll re-boot and re-repair Office and Project and hopefully but the file never opens.
The issues started appearing when I was trying to use neat options in Project like Resource Pools, Master projects with linked project files, and cross-project dependencies. This seems to have started when I began "un-hooking" everything.

Why are you posting about Microsoft Project on a video games forum?
Why are you posting about Microsoft Project on a video games forum?
Because it's probably just another spam referral gimmick. Cue second new account just created posting irrelevant/non-helpful posts elsewhere in H&S (like 4 or 5) before coming into this thread to give a link to some shady software as a solution, like "MS Word Repair" or whatever program the OP is talking about, and then a while later, the OP responding "Thank you! It worked!" etc.
They follow a formula like this where it's always about project this, Microsoft office that, or recovering files in general. It rarely ever changes.
They're not bots afaik. Just people who really need to find better jobs than spamming gaming forums with their garbage programs that might as well be trojans.
