What's the point of these though? If it's just for their own personal goals then they have no lives.
Yes, and as much as you want to disagree, Bobby Kotick deserves it for ruining one of my favorite game franchises.
you deserve being hacked for condoning hacking.
What's the point of these though? To you life might be fucking bitches and getting drunk, to them life is hacking stuff and sharpening their skills. In the end they will work as a security manager and earn a fuckton while you won't.
A lifeless security manager.
Define life. You don't need to be a 24/7 basement nerd to be a good hacker. Just aswell I can call you a nolifer if you play sports. Someone does something they enjoy? OMG u nolifer, go fuck some gurlz coz that's how life is, don't do stuff u liek, do stuff I liek. Also do you call scientists nolifers too? They spend half of their day doing nerdy research stuff. And yet thanks to these "nolifers" we can discuss this on the internet using a computer. And most scientists have a great life with family and kids. Or are you just jelly and calling everyone a nolifer to make yourself feel better? It's ok, burgers won't flip themselves.
Jesus fucking christ this is getting out of hand. While it was kind-of fun seeing Sony getting broken into over and over considering their history of costumer relations, these other companies have done nothing.

All it does is stimulate more hackers to hack something and get on the news.
Who's even doing this? Just fucking hack Activision already and piss off.

[editline]13th June 2011[/editline] in this case it's like, "oh no epic reset my password" at the cost of epic securing their servers better
Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't happen in the future.
that's true, but i'm saying it's more like a message than anything [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] now that i see them posting the leaked stuff on their website it's probably different, but they're mostly username and passwords to forums and other not so serious things (where's the big PSN hack with all the credit card info?) i define serious with something that can actually harm people, like stealing all their money making them homeless it's like throwing a water balloon at someone vs shooting someone with a gun to me, but we'll see. the Bethesda thing sounds more serious in a way, but it's still like "do what we say and we won't humiliate you"
It's Jack Thompson's fault. I haven't heard him say anything about Duke Nukem lately, I think that game made him go insane.

But they are messing up everyone else's entertainment for their own gains which is selfish.

Heh, all this hacking will make security systems more secure then ever before.
What did Epic Games ever do? :smith:
Game companies should not have to pay/waste their money on NSA security experts.
They atleast should secure against sql injections. It's not like lulzsec are pro 1337 hackers. They mostly hack with sql injections which are easy to prevent but if left unattended can result in the entire database dumped and more.
