Trying out a new art style

For my entire life, there was only one thing that kept amazing me and it's the comic art style,

And thats why I decided to try it out :dance:

The drawing in the lower left corner has some nice shading.

Is this like a parody thread or serious? I honestly can't tell, not even with the [text to insert:].
I'm pretty sure it's parody, but then again... Why?

The headband, the pose, the hair, the shape of the head, the giant ass sword.
It all says Naruto/Anime.

The middle standing pose is good though, there it's only the sword that connects anime to it.
And the style you chose to colour it with also makes a big decision in if it looks like western or eastern cartoons.

Oh you, you know me too well.
Well when one has seen over 70 separate anime shows it doesn't take much before something looks alike some of them.

But she really does have a Naruto look on the myspace drawing, but the two on the left are good, the middle looks like western cartoon style, the left one is eastern again.

Thanks but I kind of hate sticking to one style ( even if I make my own ), that's why I draw each of my stuff in a different style =)

With western comic style I find muscle, expression and body definition key to completing the style. To tell the truth I prefer it to manga too.

I didn't draw the image in one go

First I made the 'skeleton' , the thick brush one. It's just a sketch of my character's pose
Then I drew the concept/design of the character itself
And finally the detailed character, which takes more time & precision, all the extra lines you make you just erase it with the eraser tool.
I also prefer zooming out the pic before drawing the long lines ( I mean like the outline of the arm or legs ) which makes it easier
As for the sword I just rotated the pic, and drew a vertical line using SHIFT

That's it =/
