I am looking for a digital camera that is at least 10MP, but under 150$. Does anyone have any good suggestions.experiences?
canon have good quality check them out at your walmart or any big store
The resolution doesn't matter as much as you think it does.

Under 150 and over 10mp? The only thing you can get is either a power shot or a coolpix.
Really? I am not too camera literate.
Some classes for photography will require a certain Mp rating, but it's generally unimportant or bad to have super high MP. More pixels per mm^2 = less light per pixel = more noise.
Whatever you're wanting I wouldn't order from online unless you can demo it elsewhere first. Go to a bestbuy, walmart, or any big store that has tons of cameras on display and play with them a bit. Otherwise you may end up with a great looking camera spec-wise, but have horrible picture quality.
Really? I am not too camera literate.
Not really, you have to remember that full HD 1080p is only just over 2mp. A higher resolution does give you more freedom to zoom in to specific areas and crop out your picture while editing, however it can create more noise as another user mentioned.
High resolution sensors in point and shoot cameras are pretty much useless. My sister bought a 150€ nikon with 10MP and picture quality is absolutely crap at 100% zoom. Pictures have rather high noise levels and lens just aren't good enough to make picture sharp at full resolution. When you scale it down, lets say to half the width and height the pics look much better. So basically, effective resolution is much lower than the resolution of the sensor.
