• Hard Drive problems.

So today, being the idiot that I am, I installed the two new fans I bought, the speed controller I ordered separately and is coming tomorrow but... I had to remove my main hard drive to install the front fan. Now since I put it back together, my hard drive has been slower than normal, I am guessing it is the power load the fans put on the power supply, or could it be something else. Your help would be nice.
You've answered your own question. Your power supply is probably lacking the necessary power to supply everything in the computer. Try unplugging ONE of the fans (the front one only while the power is off) and see if it helps.
Forgot to mention that, but I did that too, It sorta helped but it still is kinda slow.

If your power supply is original to the computer, look up the serial number and all that information online to see its wattage. If it's anything less than about 400W, you're going to need a new one if you want to add those fans. (Most OEM computers ship with a 300-350W supply)
Alright, thanks a lot then. Once I get my speed controller, then everything should be fine because I can directly control the power usage.
