• Headphones keep turning off

Hello all I got this Nox Krom 7.1 usb headset, and for some reason, nowadays, it keeps turning the sound completely off. Not giving a single beep. It just turns off all sound, and basically makes me have to reboot, and even then, the sound might not come back.

If you are ever in the market for a pair of headphones again, stay well clear of "Gaming"and"Surround" headphones. They are usually shit and overpriced. Get a proper pair of headphones like AKG's, Audiotechica ATH-50's, Grado's, Sennheisers or something. And use a seperate mic. If you really need a headset, Sennheiser has about the only good ones. 7.1 in headphones is 100% bullshit. And USB headphones are a pain in the ass.
Looks like it ended up mending itself by just changing to another usb port, but I do wonder for how long. They had failed again before on the current port, but dont know what triggered it. What I do know is that the leds in the earmuff piece things that light to the outside already have bad contact and go on and off. If the rest of the headphones are that fiddly.. And I don't dare install the drivers in fear that VAC sees it as a cheating device or anything of the sort. They've functioned well up until now, negatively only on the insulation part, so it shouldnt be that kind of problem. If I do end up buying new headphones, I'll follow your advice though. This gamer shit always looks cringingly overly designed without any actual use to it.

I highly doubt VAC will see it as cheating.
It did perfectly well, up until then.
Yes with windows standard drivers. They usually get stuff working, but not well/in full capacity.
there might be something worse happening here all sound is off, not just on the usb headphones
