• Computer won't detect dedicated GPU, only uses APU chips

So I have a Lenovo Z575 12992PU with an A6-3420M and a 6650M. I used to be able to detect and use the 6650M, but my hard drive failed and I sent it to lenovo to be repaired; On return, my laptop no longer uses the 6650m and instead uses the rather awful 6520G. I've tried installing drivers from lenovos website, installing modern drivers, clearing old drivers and reinstalling new drivers, and following [URL="http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Z575-How-to-install-the-newest-AMD-video-driver-FINALLY/td-p/855907"]this[/URL] guide to switch to just the 6650m. No luck, I can't even find it in device manager nothing has worked and my laptop runs rather hot right now since it is just maxing out the discrete GPU so any help getting this POS working would be appreciated
Is there a setting in the bios to enable it? [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] If that doesn't work completly remove your existing drives with Driver Sweeper then try your guide again. [url]http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html[/url]
I used driver fusion to do a complete removal at one point. I'll check the BIOS when I have a chance though [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] yeah looks like some idiot had UMA only mode enable sheesh what kind of idiot would do that [sp] to be honest it could have been lenovo when they serviced it but I probably did it and forgot [/sp] [editline]9th June 2013[/editline] question is now how do I disable crossfire but make it primary the 6650m, not the 6520?
