Yeah, don't risk with new IPs and stop making sequels, just re-release and you are set.

Tbh sequels are 99% of the time p bad and ruin the former game's experience.

This isn't a re-release though, next gen and PC versions started development in December 2012 after the basegame was feature complete.

Since when? That is a pretty massive generalization to make.

Re-release, not re-development.

The title of the game is still "Grand Theft Auto V," not "Grand Theft Auto V [subtitle]"
If they wanted to separate the two versions of the game they should've gone with the latter.

That wouldn't have made it not a re-release. Adding "Definitive Edition" or "Remastered" at the end of the title doesn't somehow make it another game.

Didn't ps3 and xb360 development start after PC's?

Exactly my point, this isn't a re-release.
Yeah, don't risk with new IPs and stop making sequels, just re-release and you are set.
That's what Infinity Ward does and it's working for them.

The articles not say their should be more releases, its saying when you release a game you should put more stuff in it, like GTA V.
Exactly my point, this isn't a re-release.
..that's what makes it a rerelease

Change the name, switch the order of the plot, add a map or two and one new gun.
You'll fool everyone.
:downs:
companies shouldn't be re-releasing games on the next gen systems at all. next gen consoles shouldn't be the same old shit but in 1080 60p (or even 30p more often). adding first person or increasing graphical features is absolutely no reason to charge $60 for a game that came out barely over a year ago.
please focus on making unique next gen experiences, and not just trying to score a quick buck from people who might have "missed out" (and could certainly still purchase the title for the previous gen systems...)
