Not too many news articles yet, as the Earthquake happened 15 minutes ago. It's the second Earthquake of the day in Oklahoma. I'm in Kansas, a place where we never get Earthquakes. I had never felt one before tonight, about 25 minutes ago everything began to shake, and a few picture frames fell off the walls. This morning (http://newsok.com/5.2-quake-shakes-oklahoma-on-saturday-night/article/3620538?custom_click=lead_story_title):
A 4.7 magnitude earthquake rattled homes across central Oklahoma early Saturday. Earthquake, aftershocks felt across Oklahoma, region The U.S. Geological Survey said the initial quake was centered about six miles north of Prague about 2:12 a.m. That quake was followed by a series of aftershocks. A 3.4 magnitude aftershock was felt moments later followed by another 2.7 magnitude aftershock about five miles southeast of Sparks. Sparks is east of the metro area in Lincoln County. And those aftershocks continued as a 3.6 magnitude quake struck about 8:36 a.m., also centered about two miles southeast of Sparks. The National Weather Service in Norman said via its Facebook page the earthquake was felt in Norman and also as far away as weather offices in Topeka, Kan., and Pleasant Hill, Mo. There have been no reports of significant damage caused by the quake. According to OG&E's System Watch webpage it did not cause power outages anywhere in that company's coverage area across the state. Oklahoma Natural Gas is not reporting any gas leaks or service outages. Tom Foster was awakened in his southwest Oklahoma City home by what he believes was an aftershock. "It was a little later than what they say was the initial quake so I think I felt one of the aftershocks," he said. "The bigger quake didn't wake me up. But I know we've already had several phone calls from out of state relatives wondering what happened. I guess it's more interesting than anything that was dangerous." Heather Spicer of Sapulpa said the quake woke her son and dog up. "At first I thought and airplane had crashed nearby," she said. "But now I believe it was an earthquake because the whole house just kept vibrating with what sounded like distant thunder outside." Matt Hoover of Perkins was wrapping birthday presents at 2:20 a.m. when he felt the quake. He thought the experience, his first with a quake, was exciting. "The whole house started to shake and a low rumble could be heard throughout the house," he said. "It lasted about 20 seconds."
Current(http://newsok.com/feed/5.2-m-earthquake-shakes-oklahoma/article/3620706?custom_click=pod_headline_news):
Another earthquake shook Oklahoma Saturday night. The temblor had a magnitude of 5.2 and its epicenter was four miles east of Sparks in Lincoln County, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey. The quake hit at 10:53 p.m. The quake was reportedly felt as far north as Grove and as far south as north Texas. “The picture by the TV fell off the wall and we jumped up because we thought somebody had hit the house,”Noeh Morales said. “It was like a roaring noise. I've never one that bad over here,” he said. Morales said he was asleep at his home near SW 69 and Pennsylvania Avenue. “It woke me out of a dead sleep. I felt the whole house shaking. I jumped and ran outside to see what was going on,” he said.
UPDATE: The earthquake has been upgraded to a 5.6, apparently it's record breaking for the state. (5.5 in 1952 was the previous) (I don't know what the fuck an upgrade for an Earthquake is, but that's what everyone seems to be saying. I can't find many sources giving a consistent report.)
Earthquake on the east coast, Earthquake in central texas 2 weeks ago. and this. What the fuck world?
I live in california. they really arent a big deal once you realize its just a little shake
I know its stupid but I find it extremely funny how the movie 2012 predicted obscure earthquakes what three years ago? Now its actually happening.
I was in Texas when this happened. Felt like someone was shaking my chair really violently.
I live in california. they really arent a big deal once you realize its just a little shake
It's a bigger deal to those of us toward the interior of the country who go a good deal of our lives without feeling an Earthquake of any time. It's a bit unnerving if you know about what happened in New Madrid in 1812. I was concerned it was related to that particular fault line. If it were so, it might have been much worse. Bear in mind that our buildings aren't built to withstand quakes
Felt this is Wichita Falls, Texas.
There was also another one around 2 AM last night, I felt both. Before last night I had never felt one. :v:
Didn't feel it in Bakersfield :v:
Felt it in Kansas.
I didn't feel shit

Edit: The last earthquake I felt was in like 2005 or something.
Where in KS you at? I'm in South east
Wichita area here, I suppose that's South East as well
Broklahoman reporting in, felt it.
Wichita area here, I suppose that's South East as well
Winfield area.
It was...Interesting. I'm not surprised that it was upgraded. It was much, much stronger than what I felt last night.
Shit, I have family in OK. D: Why is this the first i'm hearing of it?
Oklahoma City reporting in. I felt this nearly an hour ago as I was sitting at my desk. I feel like the earth just molested me.
Apparently it was powerful enough to cause damage in Kansas. http://www.kwch.com/news/kwch-news-rmj-52-magnitude-earthquake-felt-in-wichita-20111105,0,1253125.story
(WICHITA, Kan.)— A 5.6 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter about 20 miles from Oklahoma City could be felt as far north as Salina in Kansas. The quake hit at 10:53pm in the evening. It could be felt in Wichita and other parts of Kansas. On our KWCH's facebook page people said they felt it in many places including Hays, Salina and Lindsborg. Butler County is reporting damage in the Rose Hill area. Keep checking KWCH.com for the latest on this developing story.
I live in Butler County, but not in Rose Hill.
People on my FB felt it. I was at the ice arena at the time so I didn't notice it.
I'm really enjoying the facebook comments tonight pertaining to this:
Snorlax used earthquake. It was super effective!

Whew! That was just an afterschock, I thought there was someone under my bed.
I was reading my book while doing laundry in the basement. I felt a shake seemed like it lasted 10 seconds. I ran upstairs to see if anyone felt anything, everyone looked like they were just going on about their business so I thought it was just me.
