I am having trouble finding reliable playback software for blu-ray players. The only software available is not cheap and the software I trialed (Arcsoft)and works but it's kind of crummy.I have tried VLC media player but it will not play Blu-ray discs from my drive...I have everything running HDDP compliant(HDMI monitor)
What do you mean VLC won't play Blu-ray disks from your drive? If it just crashes you should submit a bug report. If it gives an error message it's probably telling you what's wrong and how to fix it. Oh and VLC is the only video player I know that reliably plays blu-ray.
Commercial blu-ray discs? And I'll see if I can't find the log file AFAIK it need a library for AACS encoding. I guess that's where I'll start. SOLUTION; Ease-pease. Make sure you download the 64-bit VLC player, have a BD-Rom player. Go to this link, and follow it's instructions. Woo!
