I installed linux
I found your problem
Ok, GPU Drivers... Download.. http://uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/260.19.04/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-260.19.04.run What the fuck is this shit!? Do I have to use sudo or some shit for this?
What distro did you install?
What distro did you install?
The worst of the worst.. I couldnt find my other disk, And I needed linux quickly, Don't ask why I didn't use a VM, Because I don't know. Mint..
If you can't find your way around mint you really are fucked.
It is easy, I have used ubuntu before and this is my second linux experience since 2 years. I remember how to use terminal... I remember how to do most of the shit. [editline]11:50PM[/editline] :saddowns:

OP if you don't know how to use it why did you install it over Windows
OP if you don't know how to use it why did you install it over Windows
That question answers itself.
Ok, if you don't know what partitions are and how they work then just, for fucks sake, stay away from linux.
Get Ubuntu :haw:
Get Ubuntu :haw:
Go home. He already said he installed Mint. And Ubuntu is horrid and obviously turning into a OSX.
Go try Arch then come whining back, lets see how you do without a gui :smug:
Go try Arch then come whining back, lets see how you do without a gui :smug:
Arch is fairly easy, you just need to know how to read.
Don't give me that 'arch is easy' baloney. Last time I tried it, every single pacman source was missing shit. Fuck that shut, I'll go with debian any day [editline]11:15PM[/editline] And by shit, I mean crucial shit. Like gcc.

Or if you were installing from a CD, you most likely got a corrupted ISO
Ok, I am back, I am now using Mint 8 and I am now not retarded, I know how to use all the shit, And I didn't deliberately overwrite windows whoever said I did, I accidentally set it to single-boot during installation. Also, My internet is slower than my asshole, My download speeds barely ever exceed 50kbps and I can load pages 3 times slower than on windows. Why is this? I was going to allocate around 50gb to a linux partition. and 450gb to my windows 7 partition. I failed.

Fixed. resolv.conf screwed up.

It sounds like you didn't uncomment a source URL in "/etc/source.d/mirrorlist" and update Pacman. It's a pretty silly mistake.
http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1
What are you on? OP can't boot into Windows, how could that benefit him?
Oh, whoops. for me. Just reinstall Windows from your Windows Disk, OP. Except you'll have to re-do everything.
