I could totally do this, I DOSed 4chan one time
title makes it sound like a bunch of hackers are being chased by the police for hacking into an island
They'd write better code in a dark cold basement rather than a hot sticky island.
Hate the whole "programming = hacking"
I'd hate to be on an island like on the picture, mostly only being allowed to code. Imagine the warmth, you'd be sweaty all the time. :v:
secretly they'll have to fight and survive using only computers new hit reality show last nerd standing wins a million bucks and free computers for life
Hate the whole "programming = hacking"
The Media doesn't know better, they still think anything to do with computers makes you Jeff Goldblum from ID
title makes it sound like a bunch of hackers are being chased by the police for hacking into an island
I thought they were literally meant to hack an island, like some facility or something located on a remote island.
They'd write better code in a dark cold basement rather than a hot sticky island.
Dennis Nedry pulled it off pretty well. [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] Actually, no he didn't. His code didn't stop after 18 minutes.
This sounds like the set up for a modern film adaptation of The Most Dangerous Game.

Watch what happens when nerds stop being polite and start getting real.
Watch what happens when nerds stop being polite and start getting real.
They fight each other over a quake3 match.
This reminded me of that contest google holds once in a while where they reward money to whoever can hack something of theirs.

Redefining the term 'Code Monkey'
"Why can we not recreate that experience in a tropical and remote location so we can really focus on our projects?" Nope
Wait, the guy organising this is called Mr.Heck? 12 people, on Heck's Island, for 2 months....
Maybe they might finally finish GNU!
Maybe they might finally finish GNU!
Gonna need a bigger island...
I can apply, I can do "Hello World!" ... I think.
