Manning faces four charges including disrespect, disorderly contact and medicine misuse after officials discovered an expired tube of toothpaste in her cell, according to a statement on ChelseaManning.org out Wednesday. Manning is currently facing 35 years in prison after leaking a trove of classified documents to Wikileaks.
...
I know the government seems to think no punishment is good enough when someone tattles on their bullshit but holy fuck can we have just a little bit of mercy, please?
Your headline is pretty misleading, it's not as innocuous as a tube of tooth paste and a vanity Fair magazine. She's also be charged with disrespect to a staff member, disorderly conduct, and threatening behavior. Her personal reading articles were also not registered with her name and prisoner ID number after being discovered in her cell. Yoy can read the full report on the Twitter. Tbh I don't think Manning shouldn't be held to the regulations and standards of Leavenworth just because she's a relatively popular media figure. One person arguably released sensitive information showing gross wrong-doing against the American people and the other well, just released some unnecessary bullshit that gravely harmed international relations and might have cost American lives.
Manning faces four charges including ... medicine misuse after officials discovered an expired tube of toothpaste in her cell
Holy shit what a threat to national security execute this traitor right now. I'm not excusing disruptive conduct to corrections staff, but I think Manning is getting every single thing in the book thrown at her that they can find. medicine misuse for fucking toothpaste what What are they expecting, suicide by minty fresh breath?

I don't wanna get in to the whole "Manning justified or not" debate but what I was referring to is that basically anyone who leaks shit about the government tends to get shafted as hard as humanly possible, hence why Snowden is in fucking Russia

If that were true, they would have used that during the media scandal and the trial.
Solitary confinement is inhumane enough as it is already, this is sickening
At this point, it'd be less of a PR problem if they just outright executed her in her cell. Somebody's got a serious vendetta and wants to drag this out as painfully as possible.

If you want to read the full summary of charges they're on her twitter.
