I was in a semi-sadness-depression-mode for the past weeks and I had some riff ideas I put together. I know the track doesn't really connect at first, but it makes sense if you think you're angry at first and then the world looks so much better the next day. That being said, it's pretty much a shitty stratocaster HSS-setup copy, a cheap 5 string bass, no other hardware but my laptop and a recording interface. It's also my best mix so far in my opinion, so please criticize it as much as you can. One guy told me it sounds shit as if it was played on a shitty old radio, so I'm confused. Oh, I forgot - I'm aware that the toms have exaggerated ring and I fixed that on a later version of the mix but I didn't bother re-rendering and re-uploading, so this will have to do. way too much reverb on the snare [editline]14th September 2011[/editline] otherwise it sounds good
Hm, I've been told that before, I kinda like the roomyness of it but I guess I'll fix that.
actually it's really cool
I like it, quite a bit, but what kind of distortion are you using?
Simply Pod Farm for the rhythms and Guitar Rig for everything else. The Farm amps I use are the Angel and Big Bottom, as for Guitar Rig's I usually swap them around, I think this one was Rammfire on vintage/RZK setting or something.
I love the snare don't change it!
Why can't there be more like this in this section? This is great.
It is awesome. I want more.
Wow, thanks guys! I have one more, finished it up a few days ago, it's not anywhere near what I wanted it to be like but eh...
Great production quality man!!
Holy shit these are amazing. If I didn't know better, I would say they were professional recordings.
Really? I am very surprised to hear these coming from Facepunch, especially after so many years of lurking and learning the community. Thank you guys <3
