I still say it should have been a giant penis. Or an exact replica, but half again taller.

It is literally going to be 1776 feet tall ahaha [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] god bless you Americans and your symbolism

So wait, it's not finished and we're already celebrating?
So wait, it's not finished and we're already celebrating?
Its as tall as its going to be, now they need to finish everything else.

1776 feet is 541 meters. In the year 541, USA wasn't even a country, and the most powerful superpower at the time was the Byzantine Empire, located in Europe and parts of Asia. Joke's on you, Americunts.
What happens when they attack this tower? 9/11 x 100?
Now that you've built that tower, are you going to stop over reacting about every little thing America?

Frankly, if there's any building in the United States that's earned the right to a bit of patriotic symbolism, it's this one. I know it's fun to joke about your American stereotypes, but this is a monument to one of the most horrific and shocking attacks in American history. The original World Trade Center was attacked because it, itself, was symbolic. Some would argue that it's not only fitting, but necessary to make its replacement symbolic as well. For the victims, for the American people, and for those who endorsed what happened to the original, it's important to show that the nation can can come back from something like that, even bigger and better than it was before. [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline]
Look at the flag on the spire.... CRINGE
Yes, what vapid, nationalistic fools we all must be to mount a flag to a building commemorating one of the darkest days in US history. Gosh, are my cheeks red on behalf of my yokel brethren.

This isn't just a testament to American resilience, it's the closing of a dark chapter of American history. For many, this is going to represent a return to the way things were. It's not just a building, nor is it just self-gratification. With this in the skyline, it'll help to quell the anger and fear that a lot of Americans still feel when they think back to 9/11. You're right, there is still a lot of fear and anger revolving around the events of 9/11. For as long as there are people who remember it, there always will be. But this building, in all its hokey symbolism, is the physical representation that it's time to move on. That attack, and most of the rage that came with it, will finally start to become a part of history, rather than a wound we're still recovering from.
What evs' quick google conversion. CN tower 1815.29 feet. 'anada Our footballs and our structures are bigger.

National Football League football is specified as; short circumference: 20¾ to 21¾ inches (527 to 540 mm), long circumference: 27¾ to 28⅛ inches (705 to 714 mm). Canadian Football League football is specified as; short circumference: 20⅞ to 21⅛ inches (530 to 537 mm), long circumference: 27¾ to 28¼ inches (705 to 718 mm). I still retain that our balls are bigger.
