So I just got a new ipod touch. I havent updated itunes in a while, so i get the new version since i had 8.1. I connect my ipod, and bam! it says i have to uninstall itunes and apple mobile device support. i knew there must be some way around this, so i go to the support page and search for a way to fix it. there are no downloads for the device support. the one thing i found didn't work, and that was restarting the service. this would all be ok, except for one thing: MY LIBRARY OF SONGS HOVERS AROUND 13,000. I have a 500 gb network drive holding everything on it. To resync itunes with the drive would take around 3-5 hours. I WOULD LIKE TO USE MY IPOD. NOT WAIT 5 HOURS. is there any way to fix it, or am i royally fucked?
Try using Winamp.
What would that be?
What would that be?
I have no idea either. I wish there was a site where you could search for what things are.
What would that be?
I was confused then I noticed the sarcasm in Pandas post. :v: It's a media player, it can sync to your iPod.
hey. HEY. i just looked it up, how am i supposed to sync an ipod with a 3rd party music player?
FACEPALM. It's an iTunes alternative, more or less. Another good program is CopyTrans Suite, but it's paid, and the way to bypass the 100 track limit of the trial is to delete the configuration file every 100 songs, but since you have 13,000 tracks, that will be very annoying. You're shit out of luck.

Add a symlink from your iTunes library to your local collection? I've done that before, and iTunes will cheerily regenerate the actual library file.

Can you use Winamp to sync with an ipod touch (3.1.2) (dont worry im going to google it but it would be nice to get a straight answer)
