It's a good game, but most people who know about Phil Fish don't like it because he's not a very good person. He responds to criticism with hostility, he thinks he's a better person and developer than others (with quotes like: "I'm going to be the future face of gaming," and, "I just won an award, so you can suck my dick."), he's made sweeping remarks about gaming like "Japanese games just suck," he put Fez on XBL because he thinks "games should be played with a controller on a couch" and then didn't update it (though there was a save data erasing bug that hid a few players) because XBL's terms meant he'd have to pay them money to release the update (though he should have known this when he signed on with them) and is now releasing it on Steam despite saying he wouldn't do so.

I thought we all knew he was a prick long before it released, and the only reason it didn't come out on PC until now was due to exclusivity with Microsoft.

I kind of feel bad for the programmer, he seems like nice person but the game he wrote gets tons of additional flak because the director/designer is so unbearable.

Game is shit, literally no challenge and you just jump from one platform to the next, I dont get how people can say that the game is great and people hate it because of Phil. It literally is no challenge and no reward
I imagine he's not going to be very pleased with the sales figures since he's very effectively pissed off every single PC gamer that was even mildly interested in his game.
I still can't get over how he fancies himself a "revolutionary" when really all he did was make a very basic platformer with no enemies and no consequence for failure while filching a gimmick from Super Paper Mario.

Also Fez is garbage, and its one of the rare times you can safely say its a pretentious piece of shit because thats flat out what it is, Phil Fish alone makes it pretentious the way he talks about it, and then the game itself proves to be pretentious by having "deep" puzzles that mean fuck all, so its x2 pretentious.
