The whole fascination in Call of Juarez was the whole wild west setting, in my opinion. Making it modern day is kind of stupid.
This is stupid, I liked Call of Juarez because it was old west, Now days how can you give that same feeling? Cowboy hunting down crips and bloods....
"...the best elements of the Wild West to a new and modern setting" So we're talking shootouts in a city, kind of thing? Like Grand Theft Auto, you mean?
This might actually be really good.
Damnit! I have always been in love with the Call of Juarez games, but making them modern day is just stupid, and ruins most of the feeling! But even though I'm saying I don't like it I also know that I'll have to buy it, just cause.
Almost all games are following Call of Shitstain these days :smith:
Hopes up for split-screen, at least! Damn.
Farcry 3 please 2 had so much potential
Almost all games are following Call of Shitstain these days :smith:
Uh, what does that have to do with Call of Juarez? Call of Juarez has nothing to do with any military stuff, why would this be like Call of Duty in any way?

It's now the Wild West, it's the Modern West....

Call of Juarez a perfect example of a generic Fps, not bad but nothing innovative.
CoD started as a WW2 game series, then decided to go "modern" CoJ now does the same. It's now the Wild West, it's the Modern West....
It's pretty much still the Wild West. [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] I hope you can do drug trafficking in this.
Obligatory "Well done, you've ruined your series." comment.
call of juarez:modern warfare, see what I did there?

It has zero to do with any actual wars. That's kind of a huge difference.

sexy
CoJ 2 was set in the American Civil War.
Not really. The first level only had the brothers fighting in the civil war for the north, but then they turn into deserters and nothing else actually takes place in the war.
Loved the wild west theme the first two had, but as long as they keep the intense firefights and awesome simple cover system the 2nd one had, I'm sold
:sigh:
I'd like to wait to see some gameplay before saying "oh no lmao u ruined the game!"
So essentially Mexico Simulator 2011? [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] Fiver the story line's going to be related to revenge/drugs. [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] Wow I'm dumb it's called The Cartel.
hurr durr cod clone hurr The cartel-gang idea is actually really good.
The fact they only just decided to announce this makes me suspicious. I liked the idea of the series and SOME of the gameplay but it was really hit and miss.
I'm still waiting for Dead Island from Techland. :colbert:
write the cartel then change the ar with ua and add a R what you get? the cuartel = basement
I like the idea.
I prefered the old west.
