I'm surprised it isn't dead again, honestly. That game is rampant with hackers and G1 does fuck all about it. [editline]21st October 2013[/editline] That and the North American East server is unstable. The others not so much but they suck too.

The only reason I played it is because of the customization but doing nothing but deathmatch, it sucks.

Until GTA Online comes on PC that is.
The bad sport sticky on the rockstar forum is gone. So looks like they have decided what to do.
Until GTA Online comes on PC that is.
it doesn't really hit the same niche though, APB is a very social game, heavy emphasis on customization and REALLY heavy emphasis on "tactical" team vs team combat (it sounds funny but very few games are actually as strategy and coordination heavy as this thing), all these two have similar is the open world and driving cars besides, F2P doesn't die easy

GOTY.
Implying it was alive to begin with.

I'm gold, got on to play Saturday. 2 gold districts, each with less than 5 opponents on each faction. Can't play on servers lower than gold. GG no re.
Take the customization from APB and throw it in GTA Online. GOTY.
But the customization is literally all there is to APB
But the customization is literally all there is to APB
That's the point I want to see if APB becomes more popular at all, after the planned upgrades. Doubting on it though
Uhh what? Yeah you can play on servers lower than gold, you always could. But yeah for a bit if you were gold you could only join gold districts, meaning if there weren't a lot of gold players on you were fucked.
APB always felt pretty empty to me
I think the problems are the way you start Missions in GTA5. It's too slow and you always get disconnect from freeroam world. In APB you start in mission instantly without needing to go to lobby and hope for the best. Every weapon in GTA5 seems to be super accurate. Almost every weapon in APB has a role. Movement system in GTA5 is extremely sluggish and slow, but I blame controllers for that. GTA5 Online is fun but not lasting as APB is.

It feels pretty realistic to me, in fact I'd go as far as to say it improved a ton over GTA 4.
I played as an image designer in APB and made more money than I did in missions.
How is the movement sluggish? It feels pretty realistic to me, in fact I'd go as far as to say it improved a ton over GTA 4.
compare it to apb and say it isn't sluggish.
There's two things that are behind this. APB works. GTAV Online doesn't work.
There's two things that are behind this. APB works. GTAV Online doesn't work.
Uh, what? Rockstar have actually ironed out most of the terrible issues. If you like racing and cars better gtao is a great game for you, but if you like deep customization and can't afford a ps3 or GTA v, APB is an okay alternative. EDIT: I've played both and I prefer GTA o, since there aren't as many hackers or fun ruiners
There's two things that are behind this. APB works. GTAV Online doesn't work.
I'm glad you've given us a heads up about the PC release of GTA Online. Thanks, really, your opinion contributes a great deal, especially what with your exclusive access to the PC version. APB is a game without the game part actually built properly, GTA Online has server stress issues from them selling a billion dollars worth of product. APB's budget, resources, etc, don't come close to what Rockstar can simply toss at problems. The real reason behind the segregated PC/Console launch is likely stability testing and them using the "inferior" models to work out how to solve problems before they start on PC.
I played as an image designer in APB and made more money than I did in missions.
So sad that this is true. I made a small fortune off Wu-Tang logos and anime tits
I think it's a terrible issue that my character erased every time I stop playing. Hope they fix that soon.
They fixed that a week ago.
They fixed that a week ago.
Well it still did that to me yesterday. And it has a fuckton of trouble even saving my progress.
