Hello I am building PC for recording and rendering gameplay videos and such, and I was wondering if I should get a 670 vs 680 for rendering with Adobe Premier Pro. I know for gaming the difference will be minimal, but I was wondering if rendering will be faster with the 680, or if I'll be fine with the 670.
Also the other specs will be
i7 3770k
MSI B75A-G43 ATX LGA1155
Corsair 2x8 GB Ram
650 Watt PSU
x2 1TB HDDs
The GTX 680 will be around 14% faster, because it has more CUDA cores, but i'm not sure if Adobe Premiere Pro supports CUDA rendering, not really worth your money for that extra 14% anyways.
Yeah it doesn't really seem worth it to spend $100 more for a %14 performance increase, so I'll just stick with the 670
I might be wrong at this but aren't the 6xx consumer series horrible for GPGPU stuff?
I think I've heard the 5xx series are better for rendering and such.
Well if that's true, I know a place where they are selling a 1.5 GB GTX 580 for only $285, should I buy that instead?
