Why is it that they always suggest killing the animal?

I hate it how when an animal attacks someone like say a bear or a shark and kills or injures the person, the authorities always want to hunt down the animal that did it? I mean what are the odds they will find the animal anyway? I mean it's not the sharks fault that someone was stupid enough to go swimming at night. Another example of this retarded mentality was in queensland Australia a crocodile attacked a couple who were camping near the infested waters, I wonder why? DUH!!! Yet the authorities and all the bogans of the town suggest killing the animal for attacking them, I mean if an animal should die for following it's primal insticint then cows should get to kill us for killing them, it's a load of retarded crap. Ignorance like this is another reason some animals numbers are decreasing and becoming endangered. Does anyone else agree here?
It's been proven that once an animal that can distinguish between humans and animals (crocadiles for example) attacks a human for food, it will attack again, because it has learnt that humans are a food source.
Also, those waters weren't 'infested' they were a popular camping spot, where lots of people spent time. It was supposed to have a low croc count too, with less than 1 seen a year.
What the fuck why should I get arrested for following my primal instinct to have sex with that hot girl whether she let me or not that's not fair RAGEEE
Seriously though it's because
1. It seems kind of weird to most people that a human can kill and go to jail while an animal can kill a human and get away with it, so they decide to kill the animal.
2. What Keeshond said.
3. Shark attacks are pretty rare, there's only like 1 or 2 a year, so when it does happen it comes as a big shock to everyone so it seems odd to not do anything about it when a shark or crocodile kills someone.

Animals aren't as smart as people so bye bye to that point.
Anyway, I've never heard of people going after an animal once it already attacked and ran away or something. But I know if I had the means of killing something attacking me, I would.
Things like shark attacks: People want to kill the shark because it killed one of our kind. Plus, they want to cut the shark open to see the disemboweled leg, or *gasp* head.
Or entire body.V:downs:V
We do it, because we want to show those animal fuckers not to fuck with us.

Exactly. If the last leather back tortoise in the wild fucks with us humans, we are going to trap it, shoot it, cut it's stomach open to see what's inside, eat it, and die of mercury poisoning.
Also if it's a territorial animal you'd want to avoid it becoming a 'hunting ground' for the animal.

Disemboweled leg? I wasn't aware that your bowels were in your leg..

I often keep some bowels in my leg for safe keeping.
Much better than the massively exposed stomach region.

You're just being ridiculous.
Well gun gives power and power gives rights. So crocodiles shouldn't eat us unless they want too eat lead.
We= superior
Crocodiles=stupid=handbags for the ladies
We got to teach them a lesson
Once a dog, for instance, knows he/she can kill a human, they no longer respect us. Therefore, we must destroy them, as we are the masters, not them.
Because we have guns and thumbs. Fuck animals. If I had to choose between the deaths of Timothy McVeigh and fifteen thousand bears, I'd let the bears die to save the life of that extremist piece of shit. That's how much human life means to me and how little primitive life means.
Because we're already slaughtering them by the billions just so we can then eat them between two pieces of bread during the lunch breaks. What's one more gonna do?
Respect nature? Life? Reason? What are you, like, behind the times? We got rid of that stuff.
It's a proven fact that dead animals are a significantly reduced threat than their live counterparts.
It's political correctness gone mad.
i can understand it being a croc or a bear or a wild animal, but a dog... what if you have a dog and it attacks your neighbor or something? maybe beating the shit out of it might teach it a lesson, but i think killing it is a bit too harsh.
Well think of it this way, the reason many people think humans are superior is because we developed curiosity, and were able to form our own questions allowing us to surpass our primal instincts(though they are still prominent now they have been greatly suppressed over time) we are just one of the first to develop an idea like this allowing us to go beyond following our instincts struggling forever.
We do it because it's funny.
Well, with dogs it is because if they do it once there's a good chance they will do it again. It's a primal instinct thing that can't be dealt with most of the time.
