A french animated movie director by Paul Grimault (based on the Norway fairy tale The Sheperdess and the Chimney Sweep by Hans Christian Andersen) in 1980

I can't tell you the story much but it's about a king who rule the kingdom witch nobody likes him. It's a long story but you'll understand. It's a classic movie and I saw it on VHS when I was, well... 2 or 3 years old I guess, but still. It also has romance too(No, not the king and the bird in love).

I found the 9 part movie on YouTube so you don't have to go to France and buy one.
