Interrogation: How to catch liars and how to lie. - General

I'm not going to ask you why you need to know this information, but I will cover some key points on how to detect liars and how to hide your own. But first you must know the basics. [b]Posture[/b] Truthful person. [img]http://www.reid.com/lizz7.gif[/img] Gulity person. [img]http://www.reid.com/mja2.gif[/img] Key points to address here is the difference between the two people. Dynamic vs. Static, as you tell person #1 has a dynamic posture, open and using hand gestures as we use in normal conversation. But person #2 has a retracted posture, or defensive posture. Lets view another example. [img]http://www.reid.com/pete1.gif[/img] As you can tell this man has a relaxed, truthful posture. [img]http://www.reid.com/pete2.gif[/img] While this man has a defensive posture, key points that he has his arms crossed. He may not know it, but he is creating invisable deceptive barriers. The subject's posture reflects his personal thoughts. [b]Voice.[/b] When we speak, not only does our body moves but the way we speak changes. Lets see some examples. [b]Q:[/b] "Did you leave your house at all that night?" [b]A:[/b] "No, I didn't have anything to do so I stayed home." [b]Q:[/b] "Did you leave your house at all that night?" [b]A:[/b] "No (Shift in chair) I did not leave the house at all during the course of the night." Person #1 speaks clearly, showing he/she has nothing to hide so he/she uses a clear explanation. But person #2 is trying to prove to you that he/she did not leave the house, using speech we would not normally use. In this example, a man is being accused of sleeping with another woman. [b]Q:[/b] "Did you or did you not cheat on your wife with Mrs. Johnson." [b]A:[/b] "No, I would never cheat on my wife." [b]Q:[/b] "Did you or did you not cheat on your wife with Mrs. Johnson." [b]A:[/b] "I did not have any sexual relationships with Mrs. Johnson." Subject #1 clearly has nothing to hide and is being truthful. Subject #2 is did not clearly answer the question and is using speech we would not normally use. A example of this. [b]Example 1:[/b] "I don't know what you're talking about." [b]Example 2:[/b] "I do not know what you are talking about." But you must remember this, some people do actually talk like this. [b]Face[/b] Controlling your face is the most easiest to do, and it should come natural. Liars usually do studder and the face twitches sometimes. When lying your face may feel suddenly wet and blushing is also a concern. It is something you can barely control but is easily fixed. [b]Other things.[/b] Deceptive Person 1. Defensive posture. 2. Slouching. 3. Rolling eyes. 4. Shifting in seat at que of questions. 5. Person is crossing arms, putting hands in pockets. 6. Sweating, cleaning lint off clothes, wiping face, leg bouncing, or scratching head. 7. Quick or slow tone of voice. 8. Dodgy eyes that look down and don't make eye contact. Truthful Person 1. Open and relaxed posture. 2. Hand gestures. 3. Relaxed tone of voice. 4. Looks straight in the eyes; good eye contact. Now that you know the basics of detecting lies and truth, we'll discuss the purpose of this thread. [b]How to lie.[/b] When you are being asked questions, you can do several of the following. [b]1. Ignore the person[/b] You don't have to incriminate yourself, but this will be suspicion on yourselve. [b]2. Respond truthfully.[/b] You do not need to lie about everything. [b]3. Lie.[/b] Sometimes you will need to lie to get out of trouble. [b]REMEMBER: The average response time to a question is 1.5 seconds. If you lie you need to respond quickly and keep your tone relaxed.[/b] Sometimes you will need to tell the truth, even though it is a incriminating question. [b]Q:[/b] "Do you or do you not beat your wife?" [b]A:[/b] "Yes I do hit her a couple of times a week." When you are being interogated, sometimes all the interogator wants you to say (and for this example we will say you robbed a bank) that you did robbed the bank. He already knows that you did, so he will throw out bait to try to catch you in the act. We will review what you should say. WRONG [b]Q:[/b] "Some people need to get by in life, did you rob the bank so you could pay your bills or were you just greedy?" [b]A:[/b] "I needed the money." RIGHT [b]Q:[/b] "Some people need to get by in life, did you rob the bank so you could pay your bills or were you just greedy?" [b]Q:[/b] "I didn't rob the bank." The interogator already knows you robbed the bank, but if you answered wrong and he shows the tape, the jury will feel sorry for you but you have committed a crime and will be punished. Here are more bait traps. WRONG [b]Q:[/b] "What if we catch the guy who did it, what should we do to him?" [b]A:[/b] "Give him a second chance, he might be a good guy." RIGHT [b]Q:[/b] "What if we catch the guy who did it, what should we do to him?" [b]A:[/b] "Punish that scumbag." Interogators use bait traps all the time, creating a excuse for you and you going for it. When being interogated remember to use proper posture, use hand gestures and do not do habits such as wiping your nose or cleaning lint off your clothes. Remember, use a posture like this below. [img]http://www.reid.com/pete1.gif[/img] Act relaxed and do not fall for their traps. Most people are bad liars so pratice daily on lying. Be relaxed and make a plan before being interogated. Or you can always just make a run for the border and be a fugitive. Whatever floats your boat man. This tutorial isn't 100% reliable but It should get you off the hook if you use it properly. Or at least a lighter sentence in jail.
