Recently my GPU fan is sounding a bit rattly and it's quite scary, the other day it stopped spinning all together and then I hoovered it a bit and it starting spinning again then a few day later I took the whole heatsink off and sprayed all the dust out with a can of air, but now again it's rattling a bit and it's idling 50c (I put the fan speed to 40% and its at 24c now but the noise isn't a small rattle)
What do you suggest I do?
How long have you had it?
Nearly a year, also I don't see why I got rated dumb.
Never EVER vacuum a computer. There's a very high risk of static discharge.

He never said anything about vacuuming his computer.
I don't think the vacuuming a problem at the moment anyway since I was having a fan problem before this, but I will keep it in mind next time I clean out my computer.

You could always buy a new heatsink/fan combo for it, you will most likely get lower temperatures as well.

Ah. I for some reason thought he mean hover, not hoover as in the vacuum, my bad.
I live in the UK, think you could point me towards a good place for cheap but good heat sinks? My second 5850 has an egg cooler, having another egg would be cool.
