So i was playing battlefield 3 and all of the sudden my screen started to flash and show weird colors. I alt tabbed out and my desktop was fine, it was only when i was in game. The ground turned green then my whole screen went black. I have a picture below of what also happened. This has happened a couple of times now.

Did the error occur?
Also what PSU brand and wattage do you have?

No I dont get an error, but i have a corsair 600 watt power supply.
Hmm well that psu is fine for that setup.
Leave JW monitor running for a while while you play BF3 and get the error. It saves the max recorded temperature.
If its below 80c you might hav to reflow your card.
(well after reinstalling the drivers and running memtest but well ge to that.)
Ok figuer it out for yourself then cya.

Its not an error. So you dont know what your talking about. CYA
Okay simple straight forward.
Update your drivers? (have you done that at least?)
Temperatures? (their fine)
if after you update them their still artifacting?
RMA it.
I updated the drivers.
But I only get artifacts with this game if that makes any difference. I don't get it with any other game.
Could you please explain what RMA is?
Thanks for the help!

....
Graphical error.
Return to Manufactor/the place you bought it from = RMA
You only get it with BF3?
Okay there's obviously a setting that BF3 is using that your GTX460 isn't liking. So reset your video/graphics settings in BF3 to default. That doesn't work? Re-install BF3. That doesn't work? I'm out of solutions.
Alright thanks for the help!
Battlefield 3 doesn't get along with the 400 series for some reason. I have problems with it too. If I were you I'd simply reapply thermal compound on the GPU, it's not that hard to do.
BF3 also doesn't like multi-monitor setups.
