He’s legally blind and too busy with his personal life to secure his WiFi connection. Unfortunately for him, he’s also unable to afford to fight the case and might be forced to settle anyway. For years, we here at ZeroPaid have been saying over and over again that an IP address doesn’t necessarily connect to a guilty party of any alleged wrong-doing online. This is for a number of reasons which does include the possibility of WiFi hacking.
Well this is an odd story.
I'm pretty sure I saw an article like this about a week ago.
Woah wait.... what? The porn industry sueing the blind? I don't get the reasoning behind that.
I'd trade my sight to replace regular pr0ns with senses pr0n.
I'd trade my sight to replace regular pr0ns with senses pr0n.
Yes, I'd trade my sight to have crappy, meaningless sex, and then miss out on all the other cool stuff like playing games or having NERF gun battles that sight lets you do.
I'd trade my sight to replace regular pr0ns with senses pr0n.
Or you know, get a girlfriend, probably a lot better than being unable to see for the rest of your life
Title is basically misleading. He's being sued because someone used his WiFi and was using a file sharing service. They're basically suing him for pirating. Him being blind has nothing to do with the reason he is being sued.
Or you know, get a girlfriend, probably a lot better than being unable to see for the rest of your life
But how can I get a girlfriend with so many comments to make?
Yes, I'd trade my sight to have crappy, meaningless sex, and then miss out on all the other cool stuff like playing games or having NERF gun battles that sight lets you do.
NERF is better than sex
NERF is better than sex
Maybe not NERF, but sometimes I'd rather rub one out than get laid anyway.
Unfortunately for him, he’s also unable to afford to fight the case and might be forced to settle anyway.
justice at work
He should hire a no-win-no-fee lawyer and sue for lawyer costs, defamation, loss of earnings and personal injury by insult. [editline].[/editline] Best response to dumb lawsuits like this - sue them harder.
But how can I get a girlfriend with so many comments to make?
Be nice
This is why you ALWAYS secure your router. ALWAYS. I remember having to help the owner of a local pet shop secure her router because she was noticing that her connection was getting slower and slower, checked her router's connection table and at least 8 different people had used/were using her network. Put a quick password on the network and like magic it's as fast as day 1. More importantly though it's just common sense. It keeps people from snooping around your network, it kinda-sorta helps in keeping information private (though if people REALLY want something they'll damn sure get it), and now of course we have an example of this kind of bullshittery going on.
