You already know my take on this movie, but I never really went in depth with it due to lack of time. Plus, this movie is so good it deserves it's own thread.
Pulp Fiction is told from many different points of view. It's a comedy, a drama, an action movie, a romance movie and even a bit of thriller. It's a near perfect movie with tons of inspiring characters and great dialogue. Any movie can be well written, but Tarantino makes the actors believe that shit. They play all their characters to a tee, it's just fantastic.
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD*
The film starts with a man and woman talking in a diner. We don't get their names, but they are clearly criminals as they talk about past experiences of robbing liquor stores, taking wallets, etc. They eventually decide to rob the restaurant they're in because "nobody will see it coming." because you almost never hear of a restaurant being robbed.
Opening Scene

Then begins the first point of view: Jules and Vincent. These guys make the movie for me, I especially love their sense of humor. John Travolta's is more of a dry sense of humor and Jules has a very over-the-top sense of humor. They mix like bread and fuckin' butter.
"Royale With Cheese"

They go in for a hit for Marcellus Wallace. Jules puts down on this kid named Brett pretty hard in this famous scene.

It transfers into Bruce Willis' point of view which starts off real slow, but in the end when all the POVs come together, you appreciate it more. He is told by Marcellus to throw a fight.
It's quite evident in this scene that Vincent Vega has had a really bad day and he even takes up the opportunity to insult Bruce's character "Butch".
Vincent Vega mentions earlier in the film that he is taking Marcellus Wallace's wife Mia out to dinner. On the way there, he gets high off of cocaine. When he arrives, it shows a shot of Mia doing cocaine as well. The place she decides to go to is called "Jackrabbit Slim's", a 50s nostalgia restaurant. The whole scene is beautifully shot, and even though I've never been to one myself, I felt almost "at home" when this scene takes place.

Afterward, they head home. Vincent has just bought some very strong heroin. Mia finds it as he goes to the bathroom and snorts it. Vincent comes back in the room to find her frothing at the mouth and bleeding from the nose.
He takes her to his drug dealer to try to get her back to good health.
*slight lag*

After they get her out of a trip, Vincent and Mia both agree to keep the whole ordeal a secret from Marcellus.
END OF SEGMENT
Beginning of segment: "The Gold Watch"
Christopher Walken makes an appearance in a flashback and gives Butch a gold watch as a kid. The watch has gone down in the family in the war, and it has been kept so sacred that family members have hid it in their asses to keep it safe from confiscation.
[sp] "he died of dysentery"[/sp]

Butch awakes from the flashback and goes out to fight that he was told to throw. It says later that he had not only won the fight on purpose, but he fucking killed his opponent.
After he goes home to his partner, he tells her that they have to get out of town. After packing, he asks his wife if she grabbed his gold watch. She hadn't. He throws a fit and goes back to get the watch. As he goes back to his old apartment, he finds a large machine gun on the counter. He hears a toilet flush and Vincent Vega comes out. He is shot to death by Butch.
After he grabs his watch, he heads back home. On the way home, he comes across Marcellus walking the crosswalk in front of him. Only one word is said.
"Mother Fucker."--Marcellus Wallace
Shit hits the fan as Butch gets into a car accident. Marcellus still chases him with a gun as Butch stumbles into a local pawn shop. The owner tells him to stop hitting a now near unconscious Marcellus and to put the gun away. He knocks Butch out.
It fades into both of them wearing ball gags in the basement of the shop. The owner and another man are there, and turns out that they are either both gay, or are just really experimental. They take Marcellus in the other room to fuck him, leaving Butch to the eye of a gimp.
My favorite scene in the film. It's so heroic and badass.

He goes back to his partner and drive away on Zed's motorcycle.
END OF SEGMENT.
Beginning of segment "The Bonnie Situation".
Jules and Vincent are shown in the "What Does Marcellus Wallace Look Like" Scene and almost get shot by....Jerry Seinfeld or something, as they take the other person in the room out to their car. While asking the man about the "miracle" about not getting shot when he shoots him in the face, in broad daylight in traffic, no less.
They go to Jimmy's (Quentin Tarantino) house to try and hide him.
It goes out just fine.

Marcellus sends a man codenamed "The Wolf" (Harvey Keitel) to come over and help out. This is probably my least favorite part of the movie because it's such a slower pace from the previous scene. Still got to love Quentin's character, though.
The Wolf makes Jules and Vincent change clothes and clean the car. They drive off to get some breakfast.
END OF SEGMENT.
Beginning Of Segment: Epilogue
Vincent and Jules are talking in the diner from the beginning. Jules says that he's quitting the whole "hitman" job and become what Vincent describes as "a bum". Vince goes to take a shit and Pumpkin and Hunny Bunny start the hold-up. This is where the opening and the ending collide making one of my favorite movie endings of all time.

Well, that's Pulp Fiction. I basically went along and showed you the whole damn thing to try and make up for my poor stream of it that never successfully came to be.
The acting? Perfect. The Music? Perfect. The director? Perfect.
Pace? Near perfect.
This is a near perfect movie. It has so many great scenes and messages that it's known to many as being "The greatest film of all time".
Greatest film of all time? Not for me. It's in my top 20, but not the best.
9.7/10
This is a discussion board, so tell me what you think of this movie. Love it or hate it, just talk and state your opinion, I worked very hard to make this thread.
Anybody else love this movie?
Great Movie.
Possibly one of the best movies I have ever seen.
It's not very strong cocaine she snorts, it's herion, which is usually injected (and hence why her fucking head almost explodes)
It's not very strong cocaine she snorts, it's herion, which is usually injected
oh jeez...
Only seen the film 3 times. I'm surprised I didn't pick up on that.
I'll edit it.
Favorite movie. Let a friend borrow it.
He posted on facebook it was "alright" and subsequently got over 30 replies in less than 15 minutes by people saying how wrong his opinion was.

at least those people were right.
Honestly, it was amazing.
My film teacher (like I've said) hates it with a passion though.
He claims that it's boring. He has great taste, but he has a couple of exceptions.

Your film teacher is slow.
Your film teacher is slow.
not really. He's actually one of the smartest people I've ever known.
I guessed that. Just making a joke. we need a sarcasm emote.

Boring? It may be slow and full of talking, but boring? Hell no.
Boring? It may be slow and full of talking, but boring? Hell no.
I only consider one part of it to be slow, actually, and that was the scene with The Wolf and Jimmy talking about new furniture. It didn't add anything to the story and overall, just didn't need to be in the movie.
Even my brother, who is aged 13 loves this movie.
"I can honestly say that I watched this movie ALONE and didn't find it boring....ever."
He's a good kid.
I like how much of the conversations seem pretty inane, but when you think about it they do have lots of relevance. In the beginning they have the famous "Royale" discussion, then later Jules reprises it in a much more badass way to that guy in the thing. The whole "foot massage" thing sets up for Vincent's night with Mia and makes it more tense. Also, the drug dealer's wife who is obsessed with piercing has some relevance when she witnesses Mia getting a piercing in the heart. They really aren't padding. They're great to listen to and show us a lot about these characters.
Probably my favourite film of all time. I just love everything about it, the style, the dialogue, the music.
It's easily the best of Quentin Tarantino.

This and Reservoir Dogs.
I like this movie's soundtrack a little bit more though.
I don't remember asking you a god damn thing!
I didn't like the film, heard lots of people say it's awesome, I simply didn't like it.

explain.
I have no idea why, I thought it was boring, it was funny once in a while, but other than that it was boring.
How old are you?
Not as an insult, but I would have hated it as a 10 year old, but as a 16 year old, I loved it.
I watched when I was... 13 or 14 I think, now I'm 15.
I watched when I was... 13 or 14 I think, now I'm 15.
Alright, well, wait a few more years. You'll like it, trust me.
Trust me when I say, all Tarantino films are better the second time around.
I thought it was "OK" the first time I watched it, then I became obsessed the second time.
How the hell does he do that?
I have no idea why, I thought it was boring, it was funny once in a while, but other than that it was boring.
:psyduck:
This movie is one of the best I've ever seen.
Samuel L. Jackson has never looked so amazing.
Does he look like a bitch ?!
I like the way somebody made a demoman-scout version of the 'english muthafucka do you speak it' dialogue.
The cheeseburger discussion in the apartment is high on my list of most awesome movie moments.
Apparently, Samuel L. Jackson is a vegetarian.
I love this movie, but it's definitely not the best ever.
It completely lives up to its name: it's pulp fiction. It's entertaining and that's all it is.
