I just hooked up a 2nd monitor to my video card, and I can move applications and stuff across to the second monitor, but games stick to the first monitor. How can I get games across both screens?
ATI EYEFINITY. I win the game.
I think it's eyefinity, or if you're using Nvidia, I don't know.
what is the resolution of both monitors?
They are both 1280x1024
And what if I don't have a 5xxx card
I don't know how having the centre of your game in between two panels will be useful,
games like burnout paradise, supreme commander etc specially support dual screen modes though, and are quite useful for things like map display and stuff.

for source games add -sw -noborder -height 1024 -width 2560 to your launch options
other engines you would have to look up the launch options for.

didn't work
I wouldn't bother doing it since the crosshairs would be in the middle of the two screens, aka you can't shoot for shit. racing games may be okay,...
try kegetys softth.

One question - are you using Windows XP or Vista/7, next question - what are the cards you're using? In XP on Nvidia cards you used to be able to use span mode (is it still in the current driver package for XP?) which would turn both screens into one large resolution. I remember being a bit pissed off when I upgraded to Vista and this functionality was no longer present.
4870 1gb and Win 7
my Nvida 9600GT can support dual monitors. just saying
I dont see why you would want to play games on 2 screens, desktop and in game multi tasking for internet browsing are nice things for duel screen but like whatnow said your crosshair would be in the middle of the two screens and it would be pointless.
