It’s our most affordable Lumia so far: a stylish, entry-level smartphone that comes in five eye-catching colours: red, yellow, cyan, white and black. Unlike many smartphones at its price point, though, the Nokia Lumia 510 sports a generous 4-inch display. This gives you plenty of space to view pictures, videos and the Internet, and makes precise tapping and swiping easier. On the back, there’s a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, ideal for snapping pictures of friends and family and then quickly posting to social networks right from the camera interface. You can also send pictures to your Microsoft SkyDrive account, where you can take advantage of 7GB of free, online storage you can access from anywhere. As with all our Lumia smartphones, the Nokia Lumia 510 is powered by Windows Phone with its signature Live Tiles giving you at-a-glance updates and speedy access to everything you need to do. The power of the People Hub brings together everyone you know in one place, their latest social updates, as well as the ability to get in touch across a whole range of methods, from talking to tweets. There are Microsoft Office Mobile apps installed and the IE9 web browser guarantees a smooth web experience. On top of that, you’ll also have instant access to the best mobile navigation and location services available today, in the form of Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport The Nokia Lumia 510 will be available to buy starting in November in India, China, South America and Asia. It will cost approximately USD199, before any local taxes and operator subsidies.
System Specs Display: 4-inch WVGA 800×480, TFT, capacitive touch screen Memory: 256MB RAM (4GB internal storage) Camera: 5-megapixel auto-focus; video recording in VGA resolution @30fps Size: 120.7 x 64.9 x 11.5mm Weight: 129g Connectivity: GPRS/EDGE, WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB, 3.5mm audio connector (AHJ + WP Controls), Dual Transfer Mode Processor: Snapdragon S1 Talk time: (GSM/WCDMA) Up to 8.4 h/ 6.2 h; Standby time: (GSM/WCDMA) Up to 653 h/ 738 h http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/10/23/nokia-lumia-510-our-most-affordable-lumia-yet/?cid=ms_converse-fw-scl-na-lumia_0x0-na-facebook-g0-en-1todtmt61d5cf
Even the cheapest phones have bigger screens than mine.
Affordable & great phone? Bitch. that's not a 3310.
Then it's probably with some shitstupid 24 month data plan so it will probably cost as much as an iPhone at the end.

I wouldn't do a 2 year contract with a cheap phone tbh
Guys, it's $200 unlocked. Although I would rather get a Galaxy Nexus for fifty dollars more, this thing is going to be free after signing a 2 year contract. Guaranteed.
It looks like a smaller iPhone. Uh oh...
It looks like a smaller iPhone. Uh oh...
Round corners make everything an iPhone
It looks like a smaller iPhone. Uh oh...
I am totally confused between iOS and Windows Phone with that terribly similar interface.
oh boy
What How is it similar
Both of them have squarey things
I think Apple should definitely sue for this blatant attempt by Microsoft to cash in on their innovation.
apple won't sue nokia because they actually have an agreement with microsoft unlike samsung
Would Windows phone sync with windows live mail? I'd love to be able to update my agenda with my phone (and it'd actually become something more than an angry birds machine).
Would Windows phone sync with windows live mail? I'd love to be able to update my agenda with my phone.
Yes, I'm pretty sure it does, it has some good live integration [editline]23rd October 2012[/editline]
Both of them have squarey things
Sure but the UI is not similar, it has an app drawer when you flick right like android, I think the status bar is similar and the notification scheme

It's very hard to detect sarcasm out of somebody unless it's smurfy
pretty sure he was joking
Completely obvious he was joking.
looks like a lumia 710...so it must be shit...
Would Windows phone sync with windows live mail? I'd love to be able to update my agenda with my phone (and it'd actually become something more than an angry birds machine).
You can get realtime mail check for pretty much any email you want. I have Hotmail and two Gmails on my phone and I have my phone set to buzz whenever I get new mail. Quite nifty, especially if I'm playing a game in full screen :v:
Both this phone and the apple phones make phone calls, Cant wait for apple to sue for that.
Both this phone and the apple phones make phone calls, Cant wait for apple to sue for that.
ahahahahahh what a totally original joke that has never been doene before no

You guys are missing the point, I doubt anyone buying a budget phone cares about the whole outdated platform thing. It's like someone who buys a piece of shit Android phone still running on Gingerbread even though Jelly Bean is the current one. Also I read it's being marketed towards Indians.

[editline]23rd October 2012[/editline] Oh I just noticed the border, but that's all there is to it
I wouldn't do a 2 year contract with a cheap phone tbh
yeah well nokias are indestructible sooo
In comparison, its technologically actually pretty much in par with ZTE Blade (Which was about 130$ in finland with 5MP camera) Ofcourse though, the processor on this could be anywhere between 528 MHz and 1GHz This just has a lot better battery, software and a bit bigger screen (while having the same resolution)
