note to anyone who enjoyed the exploration aspect of freelancer and finding all the hidden stuff in nebulas and asteroid fields, etc:
in x3 once you enter a system, you quite literally see everything there is to see
there's not really any "exploration"
but if you can ignore that, it's a great game

There is a tiny bit of exploration. There's 150 or so sectors, and the large ones you can't see everything. Your scanners do have a limited range, most sectors have everything contained within that range, but there are some hidden unclaimed ships out there waiting to be found
