Do some people have some sort of mental problem where they can't see the obvious

If game covers looked like this:

I bet it still wouldn't make a difference to these parents.

It's a lot easier to blame somebody else than to admit that you're wrong. And parents don't like admitting that they're bad parents.
I don't get why idiot parents find this such a hard concept. If I had a child I don't think I'd let it play GTA if it was under 12, other violent games maybe but I'd like to supervise just so I could explain things.
bad parenting is bad parenting, not bad industry
Another day, another round of parents complaining to Developers and artists that everything they do is terrible, yet the same round of parents never stop and think if the things they got their kids was good for them in the first place.. :pwn:

"I GOT THIS GAME FOR MY 10 YEAR OLD AND IT HAS BOOBS IN IT, YOU'RE EVIL AND SHOULD GO TO HELL"
Don't you run around with a chainsaw paddle massacring dismemberable zombies in Dead Rising 3?
I mean shit yeah those are zombies but fuck me they are just as virtual as the peds in GTA, while that has a lot less gore in it.
Apparently Dead Rising 3 is a zombie first person shooter.
Sounds more like a metaphor for the Call of duty series to me, shambling on, braindead...
I'll be here all week!
I'd agree with the parents given the question posed. They shouldn't let their kids play mature rated games in the first place, obviously, but as GTA V of all of those is the most relatable to real life, it'd be the one I'd worry about them playing most.
