Alright, so it's actually a neural network-based self-driving car and not just an ingame NPC they're following with a camera, that's much more interesting than what I initially thought based on the title.
At the moment it looks like it is just making real-time determinations of what an obstacle is, what a lane is, and where it is in relation. Explains why intersections freak it out, it can't see lane markers anymore.
the stream is hilarious, charles the AI keeps driving back into the same parkling lot over and over whilst gaining 4 stars because he keeps mowing down bikers and cops
