Hey, so long story short..
So I have a dead laptop (it wasn't cleaned for 5 years, so it takes literally 2 hours to boot up and it has hard time opening any files.
I connected external 3.5 HDD to it and transferred 37 GB of photos to it + some documents, it took about 2 hours.
Then I plugged in this 3.5 HDD to my main PC to check if file transfer was okay before I format laptops HDD, when I transferred all photos and files which took about an hour as well, some of the photos were corrupted and the documents appeared as a set of random symbols and characters.
Any idea what's wrong? yet on 3.5 HDD connected via USB they appear as fine.
Any solution?

Also, my cpu is pretty shite, Intel Pentium G860 @ 3.0 Ghz
When I connected my External HDD to back USB 3.0 port, transfer speed was 11 mb/s at max.
I was wondering if I take out external HDD from enclosure and plug it in via SATA, will that be faster?
