MUST HAVES: Razer Lycosa or Artcosa Keyboard Razer Deathadder 24" Monitor [Could be 23" if cheaper] 5850 HD XFX Corsair Obsidian 800D [please.] gogogo And if you haven't noticed, yes, I do need a monitor and keyboard. And no, I can't salvage any parts, this is an entire new build. CURRENCY, LOOK HERE STOOOOPED: United States Dollar Use newegg. Tell me if theres something you couldn't fit in the must have list, I might just splurge.
This: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=12041811 With these combos: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.432367 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.443520 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.431010 And the promo code on that GPU(XFXHWOW) which will save you another $40 but expires tomorrow: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150494 Comes to 1314.89 pre-shipping. However, if you drop to the 700D, which I'm going to recommend, and take this combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.440682 Your total comes down to 1214.89, allowing you to add a SSD to put your OS on and switch to a x8/x8 or x16/x16 motherboard, or allowing you to upgrade to an i5 setup (Although for upgrade purposes I recommend you stick with AMD). [editline]01:23AM[/editline] That case is setting you back quite a bit though, if you settled for a cheaper case you could get better hardware.
I know, but I'm too in love with the obsidian case.
In that case, I still say you should drop down to the 700D.
Also, whats the difference between having hot swappable bays, and not having hot swappable bays? Any very important differences?
If you don't know what a hot swap drive bay is you're not going to use it. I also remembered that the Obsidian series is supposedly very sub par for aircooling, so you're probably going to want to invest in some better fans and an aftermarket CPU cooler.
All I know is you put an SSD in it. And I was going to get Cooler Master V6GT AM3 Processor Cooler, but I didn't know if it would fit in the budget.
Should you switch to the 700D: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=12042091 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.440682 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.432367 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.431010 With promo codes: XFXHWOW (GPU, $40) EMCYVNP52 (RAM, $10) Comes to 1394.87 pre-rebates, and has $80 in rebates bringing you down to 1314.87 pre-shipping.
Thermal compound is for applying to the CPU if you have a CPU cooler, correct? Just making sure, only thing I'm iffy on.
It is, and you're going to want to google a guide for that.
I got 1470 pre-rebates..? [editline]06:17AM[/editline] When I enter the XFXHWOW promo-code, it whipes all codes and doesn't register. [editline]06:18AM[/editline] Oh wait, is there anyway you can lower that price to 1300, that promo code expires tommorow, and I'm getting my parts later.
There is $75 taken off from the combo deals, and another $50 taken off from the promo codes.
I know, but the $40 one isn't going to last long.
If you really need to drop it down, I'd suggest dropping the cooler and the AS5 and dealing with the stock cooler until you can afford to get a better one. That should bring you down to where you want to be.
Get the HAF X or the Raven RV01 case. I know you like the Obsidian case but it's not worth the money tbh.
I'll just go with the stock cooler.
