'Spring Lake, N.C. — A teen was struck and killed by a vehicle on Ray Road in Spring Lake on Wednesday evening, authorities said.
The wreck happened around 6 p.m. near Liberty Baptist Church, 1625 Ray Road. The wreck shut down Ray Road for more than two hours.
Based on witness statements, the teen was with two or three other people walking on the shoulder of Ray Road toward Liberty Baptist Church, Harnett County Highway Patrol Trooper D.E. Edwards said.
The driver was traveling down Ray Road when he saw people on the side of the road. The teen suddenly decided to cross the road and darted into the street. The driver said he had no time to react, Edwards said.
Investigators have not figured out why the teen suddenly walked into the street.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The teen’s identity has not been released.'
Well, his name was John McKenzie.
This was during spirit week, the day he was killed was costume day.
He was wearing a business suit, and was supposed to be a movie producer.
i said to him 'You look like a gay G-man'
And, that is the last he ever heard from me.
I feel terrible.
EDIT!
Almost 200 funnies. you people are SICK!!!
That's really sad, man, My condolences.
Source?
And sorry for your loss...
Very sad to hear. Losing a friend is very hard.

What do you guys think should be done to the driver?
Dealing with killing someone in a manner of which you had no control over is punishment enough
Sorry for your loss.
What a fucking fool walking into traffic.
The driver should not be punished. If somebody darts out into the street, there's nothing, short of swerving into the sidewalk and running over everyone else, that you can do to avoid them if you're already too close. Accidents happens and I'm sure this guy already feels like shit, which is more of a punishment than anything else.

It was in the news paper, i just retyped it.
it wasn't the driver's fault. it wasn't your friend's fault. the driver seems pretty distraught about it, so I personally think that nothing else should be done with him.
sorry for your loss.

Couldn't care less quite frankly, anyone who has a bit of common sense knows that walking out into traffic isn't the brighest of all things to do and I fail to see why I should have the slighest bit of sympathy because they were dumb enough to go into said traffic.
sorry but this is a ban thread
Liberty Baptist Church, eh? I bet it was a drunk redneck.
I gave you a heart, man. Gee... I live in the UK, and I'm guessing this is America, so... I just wish I could've seen it on the news. It's terrible when someone dies and the last thing you said to them was kinda rude... This has never happened to me, but I can guess how you must feel.

If you dont care, why post?
more boxes please.
Well, I'd feel sorrier for you except I think you're over reacting a bit just to get a little extra sympathy. Not that uncommon, so don't take it as an insult.
Sorry anyway. I hope you feel better.
:frown:
That's horrible, I know what it's like to lose someone close. I saw my cousin OD on heroin and he died before the ambulance arrived. It was horrible.
I don't think anything should be done to the driver. If it really happened that way, there was nothing he could have done to prevent it.
If it's any consolation, your remark probably made him smile. So at least he died in a good mood.
My deepest condolences to you fellow facepuncher.
My condolences. Just Monday I had a friend in a car accident because someone wasn't paying attention and made him roll, luckily he walked away with no damage. I'm sorry to hear about your friend, I know it's hard.
