Yeah so i installed the latest 10.9 drivers for ATi from Steam 2 days ago and i started to have problems after that. I have HD5870 in Crossfire. Anyway, it showed that Crossfire is activated but they aren't. I tried Just Cause 2 without Crossfire and FPS was 35, then i turned Crossfire "on" and still it was 35. Device Manager says that both of the GPUs are running fine but it isn't so. I tried to rollback my drivers and my computer, but still no luck. Any adivce?
A friend of mine says he can no longer select 1920x1080 for his 1080p monitor since the newest drivers. The refresh rate is all fucked up too.
10.9 said it fixed crossfire when it really didn't D:
So basically: Need to switch to another driver version.
Yeah, now i understand why people hate ATi drivers.

I rolled back to 10.8, i will try 10.6 now if it works.
Back when I had an Nvidia card I used to think Ati drivers would be so much better than Nvidia's crappy drivers. Turns out they both suck.
Really, AMD needs to stop releasing a driver every month and start releasing good ones instead of calling them "beta" drivers or making hotfixes a few weeks later.
How come whenever I run the AMD driver update, it keeps saying, "This did not install correctly"

No idea, steam basically installs it by modifying ccc to 10.9's version. So there should be no need to uninstall and reinstall new drivers.
This is the reason I traded my 5870 for a GTX 465 >_>
I'm not changing to Nvidia, their drivers are pretty bad too. My cards are really good and they run games perfectly, but when it's time to update, things mess up pretty badly.
My 5770 cannot do eyefinity anymore as it turns all of the res to 640x480 and rotates one of the screen to potrait and crashes more and more since I updated my drivers, I have tried completely getting rid of the drivers and installing again but to no fix.
:saddowns:
I'll stay at 10.6 until they release an actually functional driver.
I tried rollbacking, it didn't help at all. I really don't know what to do anymore.

I know what I am doing, if this is not fixed soon then I'm changing to a pair of 460's

Come to think of it, never had any problem with nVidia drivers since 174.40. That's when I bought my 9800GTX+
Also been having problems with 10.6+ Anything from 10.6 onwards keeps crashing and I can't enable manual fan control or change any of the clocks.
AMD needs to get their shit together on the driver front. They were doing pretty good with them a year or two ago. At least I never had any problems with them until more recently.

I was thinking that i would change, but i got no money. Maybe i could sell my cards but...
yeah I've had nothing but problems trying to update drivers, I'm sticking with 10.5
Oh my god... now i turned Crossfire off and i got 5-10 more FPS. These drivers are seriously fucked up and because i updated from Steam, i cannot really rollback. Waiting for a working hotfix.
what do you mean because you updated from Steam? That's the same thing as just manually downloading and installing them. Just uninstall everything including CCC and then go install 10.5 from the archived drivers database.
I got 5770s.. Im sticking with 10.3. Its fantabulous.
Boy, I must be lucky. I haven't had a hitch with 10.9.
Wow, I really hate this fucking update. It deleted all my chrome extensions and my theme, It fucked up my desktop icon setup and I've lost 5 average FPS on BFBC2, Good fucking work ATI.
Okay i rollbacked to 10.5 successfully after i cleaned registry and old drivers and now this works like a dream. FPS in Just Cause 2 is now 50-90 with Very High settings. Thank you so much for helping me!

What, how can a video driver delete your Chrome extensions?

Same here, I haven't had any problems with any of the newer ATI drivers.
I just rolled back to 10.5 after 10.9 gave me loads of problems
Everyone always complains about AMD Drivers, yet I have never once had a problem with it. I'm guessing these are all linked to people with Crossfire or multi-gpu cards?
I don't care a bit about new updates anyway, they have very small differences between older drivers and they are filled with bugs.
Learnt a long time ago not to ride the wave with ATi drivers :P

Nope, I have a single 5870, but I had crashes and stuff
