This was my cousin, holy fucking shit. I'm happy he managed to fight back, otherwise it would have been very tragic. I know its not major news or anything, but thought I'd share this as its recent and affected my family.
SAVANNAH, GA ( The 12-year-old Coastal Middle School student reported the man grabbed his shirt and tried to capture him after offering him ice cream near Mapmaker and Ropemaker lanes about 7:30 a.m. The boy bit the man on the arm to get away and reported the incident to a teacher. The white van resembles an ice cream truck with purple windows but without advertising decals and was being driven by a possibly Latino male appearing to be in his 40s and wearing a dark hooded jacket obscuring portions of his face. The boy was riding his bicycle to school when the van began following him. He at first confused the van with that of a family acquaintance who actually has an ice cream van.
Source: http://www.wtoc.com/story/27641306/man-ice-cream-truck-sought-after-attempted-kidnapping
Hope the fucker does it again, fails, and gets caught immediately after they never learn the first time. If he fails again and gets caught I think 0 people will be surprised.
I was only trying to give him a free icecream. Little ungrateful brat.
Be proud of him.
Quick thinking by the kid. I'm sorry he even had to experience something like this. Here's to hoping he's ok.

Tell the kid he did good.
(to the tune of iron man) I'm the ice cream man, abducting children in my ice cream van You can't hear them scream, put them in the freezer with the ice cream.
Your family has an ice cream truck?!
i dont know who owns it personally, but i wouldn't be shocked probably a relative im not familiar with, but its not that rare to get a business license
Hey, I live relatively close to where this happened!..
Comfort your cousin incase he is a little traumatized by the incident
Comfort your cousin incase he is a little traumatized by the incident
With ice cream
Comfort your cousin incase he is a little traumatized by the incident
Or take the road less traveled and dress up like
a possibly Latino male appearing to be in his 40s and wearing a dark hooded jacket obscuring portions of his face.
To get a cheap laugh out of him. [editline]18th December 2014[/editline] Truth be told good on your little cousin. Glad he was able to defend himself and keep a possibly tragic situation from happening
Must be some real shit hole city if people do that on a daily basis.
Cousin did the best shit, you just bite and bite hard as fuck, a fucking 12 year olds biting on that much adrenaline and instinct will make anyone hurt, theres no way you can power through something like that, its like trying to hold your hand over a candle. Glad hes really okay. No one deserves to go through with shit like that, hell the neighborhood and especially your cousin shouldnt need to feel unsafe from shit like this. Hope they catch that fucker. Seriously let him know he did everything right.
the scary thing is what would have happen to the boy if did'nt get away.
Hope the fucker does it again, fails, and gets caught immediately after they never learn the first time. If he fails again and gets caught I think 0 people will be surprised.
Well ideally they just catch him instead :v:
Well ideally they just catch him instead :v:
well I mean yeah that'd work too but if they catch him in the act they'll 100% without a doubt know it's him
I suspect that guy drove down that freeway(80) to get that neighborhood. So if I was the cops I'd be looking at surveillance cam footage in the areas around the offramps and onramps of that route.
Must be some real shit hole city if people do that on a daily basis.
Savannah isn't a shithole, its just a sizable city. I'm sure crimes happen just as much in any other similarly sized cities.
