Eric Hartsburg was confident that Mitt Romney would win the election. Perhaps a little too confident. In the weeks leading up to Romney's showdown with President Barack Obama, Hartsburg had the Romney campaign logo tattooed on his face. (No, he wasn't even promised a position in Romney's Cabinet.)
Hartsburg didn't do it for free. Via eBay, he raised thousands of dollars to get the tattoo. The 30-year-old professional wrestler from Indiana said, "I am a registered Republican and a Romney supporter. I didn't mind getting this tattoo because it is something that I could live with and it's something that I believe in."
But that was before the election. Romney lost, and now Hartsburg isn't happy with his new ink. "Totally disappointed, man," Hartsburg told Politico. "I'm the guy who has egg all over his face, but instead of egg, it's a big Romney/Ryan tattoo. It's there for life."
The tattoo isn't subtle. At around 10 square inches, the ink can't be covered up without help from a ski mask (or maybe a wrestler's mask). Several weeks before the election, Hartsburg told ABC News, "In the beginning it was done for gags and publicity, but now I see it as a way to encourage young people to vote. We have so many rights that we don't utilize and young people need to exercise that right." Hartsburg also told ABC News that he got some weird looks. "A lot of people look at me and think I am the boogeyman."
Still, according to Politico, he isn't too broken up about Romney's loss. "I'm a tattoo guy, and it was something fun," he said. "I was trying to make politics fun. I didn't change no lives; I'm no hero. But I shed blood for this campaign, and I'm glad to know that I did all that I could."
Do people sometimes forget about the entire 'New England' area and the existence of the west coast?
Like sure, Romney would win if the entire west coast didn't exist.

And why does he keep putting himself in the media, he could just tell people that he really likes aquafresh tooth paste.
Even if Romney would have won in a landslide, this would be a stupid fucking tattoo.

Romney would have won in a landslide if only the south existed.

Or if Gary Johnson didn't exist.
Or if Gary Johnson didn't exist.
Nope.
Gary only had 1 million votes.
Romney lost the popular vote by like 4 million.

I know, millions of Republicans didn't vote, Gary Johnson splitting the vote, and Romney mistreating the Ron Paul delegates at the RNC are what cost him the election. If only he could have rallied conservatives to his cause.

Then his popular vote would have been slightly higher, he still would have lost.
When you focus on the lowly populated dixie states as your main strategy, instead of the highly populated states, you kind of lose.

Most young Republicans these days are libertarian leaning anyway
I gleefully await the death of hard-line conservatism in America

And don't let the door hit you on the way out!

If this was you doing all you could do, you must be pretty damn useless.
... the intelligent half of the United States would have been prepping their anuses for impact.
It is inaccurate and mean to try to base intelligence on being on a political side.
So sad to see this kind of fanaticism for a candidate (politics is a joke). And of all candidates, the most generic rich white male republican who was only ever good at not being Obama. This will be so funny in a few weeks/months when Romney is an obscure figure.
Then his popular vote would have been slightly higher, he still would have lost.

But the highly populated states almost always vote Democrat. Counties that major cities are in are also almost always Democrat, Romney won a lot of rural counties but its the huge cities that voted for Obama that nullified all of the counties that Romney won.
"It's something I can live with."
"Fuck."
And why does he keep putting himself in the media, he could just tell people that he really likes aquafresh tooth paste.
Because he's an attention whore.
No, really. He literally mentioned repeatedly on his twitter how much of an attention whore he is.

D'aww. That's kinda nice. Good sportsmanship.
Who in their right mind would tattoo their face?
A man who tattooed a candidate's logo on his face is disappointed he didn't win?
unthinkable of
Even if he had won, in thirty years, nobody will know or give a shit who Romney was.
Well, at least the good thing is that he has the gift of hindsight, which is something I can't honestly say about some Romney supporters.
Who in their right mind would tattoo their face?
Most of the people I know with tattoos on their face are either 40 year old hard men who were in paramilitaries or idiot 18 year olds who might as well have gotten "UNEMPLOYABLE" across their forehead.
Surely the Romneylogo like 7 inches from a "FUCK" tattoo on some losers neck didnt help the campaign
at least he was a good sport about it
