INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a “Make America Great Again” flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday.
Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.
The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.
Police say no one was in injured in the incident.
The driver of the Malibu was described as a black male around the age of 23. The passenger was described as a light skinned black male with a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
Since the topic is political in nature, and will inevitably lead to a discussion on politics, I will post it here. If a moderator sees this, please do feel free to move it if it doesn't seem to fit here.

opened the article expecting it to be this monstrosity. funny enough, i was at a mexican resturant in michigan a few weeks ago when this thing slowly drove by, making as much noise as possible and drawing the eye of every hispanic in the resturant. even the salsa dancers stopped to look. i couldnt contain my giggling considering how ridiculous it is
Unless the authorities can confirm that the shooting was because of the MAGA or American flag as opposed to road rage there doesn't seem much point in involving politics in this at this time. This type of thing happens so often, but because of recent event with the baseball field shooting the media will be putting more of these stories out there because there just so happens to be something Trump related in it.
That is mighty dismissive and substituting with an even far unlikelier situation.
I can't imagine a person getting so much road rage from a non-accident that they are even able to convince their passenger to lean out the window and shoot.
I think one scenario is far more likely for such behavior.

you clearly havent seen many examples of road rage then.
It is possible that this has something to do with politics. it may also not.
But its always best to allow an investigation to run its course before assigning blame

I totally agree, and I do realise road rage is real, but I also think that having a passenger get just as pissed to pull the trigger takes extraordinary circumstances.

I can tell you as someone that regularly goes there, that certain areas of Indianapolis aren't good places to be. We're talking like visible syringes in the storm drain and occasionally heroin needles kept in telephone poles. Back when I was in high school in my Junior year in 2009 we took a trip up there and we weren't allowed to wear clothes with certain symbols on them, or watches, and had to leave certain things in the bus and stay right up our chaperones ass the entire time.
The whole city isn't like that, I mean, it's no Chicago in terms of pure crime rate, but it's got this weird thing where it's got the crime and drug issues of larger cities but condensed into a mini-scale version. I mean hell, my high school English teacher and her two children were shot at while leaving a gas station for absolutely no reason. All I'm saying is, someone getting shot at up around Indy isn't an unlikely scenario, whether or not it was politically motivated is possibly secondary to what the shooter may have been on or even just for no reason. It might be, it might not be.

Totally all true and possible. Thanks for the insight too.
Wait actually now that I'm thinking that was my early Senior year in 2009, sorry. Not that it matters but it would bother me. I wanted to add that Emerson Avenue is a REALLY long street so its hard to say exactly where this was but if it was near 465 we are talking a ton of traffic at 4pm so I'm just glad nothing worse happened with someone just sticking a gun out the window and firing.

Oh, and no problem.

Former Northsider, can confirm East side is a terrible place to be. Riding through with MAGA shit is asking for it.

There's a guy who lives about 2 miles from me on my way to my bank with a trailer like that. It's even lit up with shiny red/white/blue tinsel-like stuff :v:
There's some piece of shit high school kid whose daddy bought him a big diesel Ferd that he's blacked out, built as a coal roller, put on a ridiculous fake lift kit, and has a big red #TRUMPTRAIN sticker down the window. Kid fucking cuts people off all the time, black smokes "economy" cars, etc. Never before have I actually felt tempted to key a vehicle.

Don't bother. You would feed into their persecution complex anyways

The Trump sticker is honestly one of the least annoying things about this. If you roll coal you're a legitimately bad person.

what do you mean fake lift kit
how do you pretend to lift a vehicle

Leave a note instead. Explain to him that it's okay to have a tiny penis and there's no need to be such a cuntnugget about it.

You put some short of shims in instead of actual shocks and frame modifications.
There used to be a trend where dumb-ass motherfuckers would "lift" their trucks by putting hockey pucks in between the shocks and their mounts. Needless to say this is a stupid idea because hockey pucks are not at all meant for that sort of thing.
I mean, I say "used to be" but apparantley people still do it.

Either that or rather than a proper suspension lift, it's just a "body lift" which is some people's way of saying "Lookit me I want to look like a bad-ass without spending the money to do proper bad-assery".

I agree with Mr. Jelly, the "#TRUMPTRAIN" sticker is somehow the least obnoxious thing about that person.
I never understood coal-rollers. It's like they purposefully modify their trucks to be an extension of their inner (and outer) douche bag.
there's nothing wrong with a body lift though. if the suspension travel is fine but you can't clear bigger tires it's sometimes the best thing you can do.

It's a body lift + a cheap frame kit. The truck could not handle off roading.
