Which antivirus uses the least amount of ram possible? I got a laptop with 256mb of ram(it is quite old one) and I need antivirus on it.
Nod32.. Avast.. Those are the two I know that run pretty silently.
Get Ubuntu Linux. It doesn't need antivirus, considering all the viruses are for windows. Or Avast if you're that difficult.
hurr completely different OS is the same thing as a single program hurr
Fastest antivirus? Don't use one. If I find a file to be suspicious, i just dump the strings and look at it and see if it is suspicious. Anyways, Spyware Doctor is a good one from what i've heard and tried.

You could also start wiping your keyboard and mouse down with rubbing alcohol before use, this could help you with your problem and would use no more ram than the programs you accidentally start when cleaning the keyboard.
Get Ubuntu Linux. It doesn't need antivirus, considering all the viruses are for windows. It's kinda like if I asked you if you had a tip to make my lawnmower run better, and you went on and responded "Well if you're using cows, maybe you could use a different feed." It's useless.
Bitdefender, got it with a new computer some time ago, works well.
Nod32 works perfectly for me. [editline]09:27AM[/editline]
Get Ubuntu Linux. It doesn't need antivirus, considering all the viruses are for windows. Or Avast if you're that difficult.
Hahaha. That's like saying Macs don't have viruses. They can.
The more resources it uses, the better protection you usually get. You need to find a package that balances that ratio well.
Nod32. There are no reasons NOT to.
Hahaha. That's like saying Macs don't have viruses. Does that mean a tank is just as safe as a Mitsubishi because they can both be destroyed? Not really. OP: Nod32. It's fast, it doesn't annoy you, it works fine, and it's cheap.
