• Any big difference between DVI and DisplayPort?

Hello. So I finally got my HD 6950 for my PC and I love it SO much. Looking around at the different options, I found out that my monitor only supports DVI, VGA and DisplayPort. I wonder, would I see any difference using DisplayPort instead of DVI? I still lack the adapter (As my cable is Displayport to Displayport) so I'm just asking before buying an adapter at all. TLDR; See title for my question.
You won't see any difference.
Both are digital and I'm pretty sure they carry an identical signal, as does HDMI and DVI. There's no difference.
Guess I'll stay with DVI then, thanks. :buddy:
displayport is more for the eyefinity thing Dvi/hdmi for 3d stereo
Bandwidth, mostly.
