I can't believe there's going to be an in-game shop boosters etc for real money, with a $60 price tag, and a 15 dollar monthly subscription. The shop is for name changes, and "fun stuff" so i'd assume minor cosmetics.
that cash in tho.
60 euro to buy and subscription?
good for a spot high up the most expensive games list I would say

and the interview with Matt Firor in the second link
oh what the fuck, pcgamesn got some bad ads on their site. I suddenly got this message to show up.
Your android has been infected with a virus tap ok to remove it
Come on man dont let that shit on your website :v:
i'm not quite sure if that 2013 gamecon's interview is fully relevant because i don't know whether not they scrapped the in-game shop or not. but seeing as they're still on the same road they started off, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't scrap it.
On the bright side, they already have the Free-to-Play shop set up for when it inevitably is forced to drop the subscription fee.

That shouldn't be the case. I've emailed my editor about it to see if it's anything on our end but I'd suggest you do a virus scan just to be sure.

Haven't seen anything about it on beta client, but it might just be hidden there until possible F2P kicks in.

Hey,
Can you mail me a screenshot to tim@pcgamesn.com. We can easily ban ads that Google are serving, but we need to see them.
Cheers,
Its fucking stupid that Imperials are bonus content. Really fucking stupid. An entire fucking race! Usually its an item or some cool looking clothes but Bethesda insist on making a core part of Elder Scrolls bonus content.

Imperials started emerging in the Merethic Era (think 0th Age), and TESO takes place in the 2nd age, so no they definitely do exist and should.

Like this is a backup for such raped lore. Is just a quick pre-orden buck with terrible things.

And Orcs are supposed to still be treated like utter shit in the 2nd age yet they are teaming up with redguards and bretons like it's nothing, fuck this.
Also apparently bosmers are no longer crazy war cannibals who eat the corpse of their enemies on the battlefield, now it's a secret family thing that they don't talk about. FUCK THIS.
They are shooting themselves in the foot so hard with that business model too. Fucking 60 bucks plus a monthly fee, plus the ingame real money shop, no thank you.

Okay when did I say there was nothing wrong with the lore? I was just correcting that guy who was wrong. They messed up plenty but I'm going to give credit where it's due
I know but I saw an opportunity to throw more flak at the game so I took it :v:
it's gonna be fun watching this ship sink
TEStanic
[editline]9th March 2014[/editline]
im so sorry i just saw an opportunity and took it
Anyone else not consider this a TES game in any way?
I'm casually waiting for this shit to fail
No, we already have the TORtanic.
This is the TESaster.
TORtanic is a funny name but they did recover massively after going F2P like ESO probably will when they run out of money from the diehards.

Scrollocaust sounds better.
awful names.
sunken city of atlanTES
Something along the lines of TEScoma Narrows? Thus far I am lacking a delivery method for this one.
If the game at least respected the lore then it would just be a sort of underwhelming and mediocre TES game, but the fact it's fiercely facefucking the lore at any occasion is infuriating.
So whats to stop a level 1 player from running to an adjacent zone, looting a bunch of medium/high level stuff off of weapon racks, and selling it for phat gold coins?

Stop right there criminal scum

The fact that all the zones are instanced and require your completing one zone to move on to the next, and also the fact that high level enemies have huge aggro radii and will one shot you.
