• Windows Live Essentials won't install

So, google has given me no answers so I'm turning to Facepunch. When I try to install a windows live program from the installer, it says the program is already installed and therefore will not install it for me. The odd thing is that these programs aren't installed at all. They don't show up in all programs, they won't come up in a search, they're not in the uninstall programs list and trying to uninstall using a run command brings up a message saying that I can't uninstall because I don't even have it. In this case I'm trying to download live messenger and live movie maker. Why is it insisting that they are installed? How am I meant to access programs that aren't there?
Clean out any references in %appdata% and/or %localappdata%, program files, and the registry.
My friend was just remote controlling my PC via teamviewer, everything is back to normal and my programs are back :buddy:
