• Program shows russian letters as ???

Hey, I am using English windows 7 x64, and I have English and Russian installed as keyboards, but when I installed a program it shows all Russian letters as ??? question marks, whats the problem? it seems that when program is running it's running iexplorer.exe at the same time (So I guess program is working with it or smth) , it's like a facebook application except for russian website called vkontakte.ru. So what could be the problem and how to fix? even if I type in russian and send msg to some of the friends, it will deliver to them as #$%$%@ some symbols, so what, it doesn't process Russian letters or what>?
Off the top of my head, there are 2 fixes to this problem with Windows. First off Microsoft AppLocale. When you open it, you create a shortcut for a specific program to run with a certain language character set. So, if Japanese characters aren't showing up, you run the application through AppLocale with the Japanese character set and they should show. It's made for a quick and temporary fix, and also to diagnose issues. If the problem is system wide, not just a single program or two this isn't much of a viable fix. However it's a useful tool. Go to Windows update, if you go into manually selecting updates go to secondary update and select the Russian Language pack and download that. It should fix your problems, if some specific applications don't work, this is where I recommend AppLocale. You can also find download links to language packs from here. Hope it helps.
1st method didn't work. Will try 2nd one.
What version of Windows 7 do you have?
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Did the fix work?
