YouTube at it again.
One can only hope it's a programming fuck up and not deliberate; there is nothing about LGBTQ topics outside of sex that can even be considered anywhere near a "mature content" type of thing, in my opinion. But of course, there are those bloody parents out there who complain about their children seeing gay people be ordinary...
Apparently you can still access videos about sex toys and videos of people injecting jello into a doll's ass in Restricted Mode, but various actually rather mundane and inoffensive videos (such as about the presence of LGBT characters in Harry Potter) are getting blocked, to the point where one channel had only one video visible (seemingly on the only descriptor that they tie into LGBT content)
ohhhhh, youtube
edit: either this is a scummy move from advertisers or somebody fucked up bad
I'd imagine that the videos are added to the restricted list by an algorithm rather than by some sort of curation process. It'll turn out that the use of certain keywords flag the video as "Mature" and hide them in the restricted mode.
The process could use some refinement, absolutely, but everyone is jumping to the conclusion that YouTube is trying to censor subjects.

Youtube has never made any profit. Despite the having a large revenue , they never made a profit. This is mostly spent on the infrastructure needed to keep it working. What keeps it around is that it promotes profit for their other brands.
