dlc already? the game isn't even out yet.......
Well Prototype 1 is my fav sanbox of all time so gotta get me this
Does this include PC?
Announcing DLC for a game that isn't even released, is not a good sign. Just means they're shipping out a product that is either, 90% done, or a product that they think is done but want to add 'cool stuff' that might, MIGHT keep people playing it. I don't hear a word of the first one so, must not be that great.
I remember an RPS article that said the preorder version will have a TON of exclusive "items" I don't know what they mean by items though

That build gets sent to Microsoft and Sony and goes through an approval/certification process which can take up to a month and a half. Then after that it has to go through manufacturing which could take up another month. What do you think the team works on during that time? Here's a bet; they do a Day 1 DLC pack and include it in the collectors edition for added value. DLC approval take a fraction of the time it takes for main game stuff, which allows for an almost simultaneous release. Just because the game isn't on store shelves right now does not mean it's not done. The problem is that people think that development ends on April 23rd.
The first game had the virtue of not having any sort of DLC - the game was full and good to go the moment it was released, any further addition were just free fixes for some problems. This collector edition is fuckin shit. You don't get anything worth the money, it costs 80 fucking dollars (which will probably mean 90 euros for us because games are already 70 euros on regular editions), and they had the BALLS to give you a ridiculous discount to buy more shit off them, while giving you the most pointless DLCs that are some random shitty skins. Gonna buy the game on regular edition and never touch any of that stupid DLC bullshit, there's no way I'm supporting activision for being that god damn griddy.
Prototype 1 actually had a deep plot for what it was, the plot so far of 2 is that you're REALLY PISSED OFF AND WANT REVENGE. Such a unique plot this has never been done before in the history of games. That plus shitty cash cow DLC, yeah I lost what little hope I had for this game; I'll stick with the first one thank you.
I'll wait for the reviews before I buy it. I loved Prototype 1 by the way.
Basically this: "We've made so much shit for the game, but about 30% of it is coming in DLC, because we love money!" I hate it when devs do shit like that.
Prototype 1 actually had a deep plot for what it was
what lol I loved the game, played it through 3 times, but I'm sorry that was not a deep plot by any means.

I hope they keep the same idea and make it much deeper than a basic revenge plot. The first game also started dumb plot-wise and ended up much bigger. Through this game you'll probably learn Mercer isn't responsible or something and you'll end up doing something else for/with him, etc. [editline]15th February 2012[/editline]
Basically this: "We've made so much shit for the game, but about 30% of it is coming in DLC, because we love money!" Not really $80 worth of stuff...the comic shouldn't be only digital at that price.
DLCs should add new things post release, not remove things.
