• Need some help with my iPod Touch

I got an iPod touch for my birthday but I need to find a way to manage it's contents on Ubuntu. I tried using that GtkIpodManager but it just spits out an error about missing a hash file. Used banshee, files don't even sync to it. Also tried running itunes and copytrans with wine, but the windows don't show up at all and it just crashes. Everytime I want to put a new song on my ipod I gotta reboot into windows(Which takes about 5 minutes and I am very impatient) just to put a song on my iPod and reboot once again back into ubuntu. I read some pages on google about installing some libraries, but it just does not work. Any other possible programs I can use besides running a virtual box?
define managing contents - are you talking like file system managing or just adding songs or full-blown apple-friendly app/file management? also what version of ios is it using? if i remember apple messed with non-itunes syncing in an update a while back

When she found it the system was corrupted and had to be restored and then updated to 5.0. I just want to add music to it without corrupting the library. Though I have a 16 Gig nano that works fine, it just seems to me the touch that does this.
