• 3rd Party fan?

I have an AM3 processor, phenom II X4 955, my current CPU fan is stock, and I would like to upgrade to a 3rd party heatsink to overclock. What is a good one. I'd rather have it be $50 at most, $40 would be nice. Also I would need help on how to apply the thermal paste and whatnot. Any help? Also, I'd rather not put on a bracket, BUT I WILL DO IT IF NEEDED. Also, my current stock one is really close to my RAM, so I'm a bit worried a 3rd party might not work. Can't go wrong with the Freezer 7 Pro Thermal paste comes pre-applied on it as well.
+1 for freezer 7 pro

The only instance of someone breaking a computer by installing an aftermarket cooler I've heard of is when someone was trying to install the behemoth Tuniq Tower. I doubt you'll break anything.

Is that MATX? As you can see in THIS picture, my Freezer 7 Pro comes pretty close to my RAM. I'm on ATX, though (ASUS M4A79XTD EVO). Instructions on how to install. AMD socket is on page two. No, it's not going to break your motherboard.
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus for the budget, the fan on the 212 is better fan F7P, and when you get the money, make it into a push/pull config with 2 of these bad boys (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213005) also, here is my F7P plenty of space but its getting replaced tomorrow :)
+1 for the F7P. Got one in all my computers and put them in computers I used to sell.
