Joe: Retaliation) admits. “Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.” Fans like the Yellow Ranger herself. “It’s the coolest costume ever,” Becky G says. “I’m gonna wear it for Halloween for, like, five years.”
http://www.ew.com/article/2016/05/05/power-rangers-reboot-new-suits-first-look
Tony Stark's been busy.
that doesn't look like it would look good in motion, but I guess it makes more sense than the regular spandex they normally have.
Ooof.
The only thing that reminds me of Power Rangers about it is the silver mouths.
Looks pretty fucking amazing.
Looks pretty fucking amazing.
Consider the star I rated you as a disagree. These dudes look like they're wearing the bright colored versions of any western character's power armor from the past ten years.
Those weird chest panels makes it look like there's not someone inside it. Like they're being piloted by some kind of weird ball shaped energy beings.
Oh, it would take me a long time to guess this image is related to power rangers :v:
I love Mass Effect
way overdesigned
Beyond the Stark body armor, I think the redo on the helmets don't look good. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ohSROu5.jpg[/t] They lose the entire concept of it, only the Red Ranger kinda looks the same, except it looks more like a snake than a T Rex. Also I know nothing about this film, did they confirm Jason David Frank or any of the original cast still alive are going to make a cameo?
The suit is kind of OK. But I prefer the old helmets. Damn it, I blame Halo, Call of Duty and Crysis for inspiring these "modern design"
Between the booby armor and that chest spark that looks like is empty inside, this doesn't look good.
Doesn't feed my nostalgia, but I don't pretend that kid me wouldn't think this is fucking awesome.
That's not the red power ranger, that's Zed!
Also I know nothing about this film, did they confirm Jason David Frank or any of the original cast still alive are going to make a cameo?
As far as I'm aware none of them are coming back. I couldn't find anything.
Don't get why you guys are going with Stark/Mass Effect comparisons. Looks way too bio for that outside of the energy diamond. Reminds me more of Guyver
Should have gone more Spiderman, less Ironman.
greeble armor designs should just die
The worst part for me is that the mouths look really silly.
feels like if they're still gonna have the stupid mouth part why even try to make the rest of the outfit look tough? they ditched every other element from the original designs but left in the dumbest, least gritty one
overdesigned somehow made the lips creepy why
Giving "very cartoony" costumes a "gritty and realistic" reboot rarely works for me, and this case is no exception. There's some examples in the past years of comic book Hollywood movie adaptations where it worked, and I assume that's why people keep trying it, but looking at pictures like these makes me think just embracing the insurmountable cheesiness would have a better decision. Kinda how Michael Bay's turtles don't seem to work. Sounds like the production designer is still struggling to convince himself, too: “It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume [...] You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”
I like new designs.
I thought they already did a gritty reboot?
So they're just colored versions of the new Robocop. Great. Is this Mass Effect or Power Rangers? The original series was nice because it was a bit simple. The background was desaturated so the suits stood out even more. The helmets were simple yet still awesome with nice detail in them. Why change it. Even that really mediocre movie that came out with Ivan Ooze stayed close to the original suits

Their armor reminds me of those old shitty amusement parks that had this texture on everything: [t]http://img.etradeasia.com/customer/279399/comm/upimage/p_120719_09582.JPG[/t]
