Memes make things funny, guys!

why would anyone even overclock a 980
if you want to OC with a watercooler you might as well get the 980ti and overclock that instead, its just 100$ off
OCing makes sense for less powerful cards but if you're going to try and push as much out of a high end card that works good anyways, you should try and get more out of the oc.
and don't tell me "Costs", if you're going to buy a 4k monitor and a high end card for OCing it why wouldn't you get the best card on the market
8 year old meme, gg.
But that's bannable
mods ban op pls
Wish these things didn't cost so much fucking money. Do you really get your money's worth with these anymore? What games really push the limits that hard anymore?

Playing with everything turned up to very high?
Gta, soma, star citizen, battlefront all fail to run at 60 when I push all settings to the max on my 270.
Otherwise if you get down to 640x480 and put it all to low, integrated graphics can handle it all.
I'm seriously starting to dislike pcgamesn recently with all the bullshit they've been pulling. The writers are becoming piss poor in quality, the titles are fucking cringe worthy and author's are even bringing up fucking gender bullshit in articles that have nothing to do with genders.
PCgamesn needs to get new writers or fuck off.

I'd go for a watercooled option simply because it gives me a lot more flexibility where the heat from the card is going to go and where it will draw air from.

I can run those at max at 1080p just fine on my GTX 760, 980 is for bigger resolution I think (or ~~~future proofing~~~)

I mean, wc a 980ti since it's stronger to boot
If your ocing in 4k budget is probably not a concern
I wish they stopped having cables and tubes coming out the fucking back of the card. Just makes long cards even longer and makes the cables harder to route.

I kind of liked it when cards were so long machines came with a guide at the front of the case to reinforce them. I hate it when heavy fucking cards start to flex under their own weight.

It's sort of ridiculous how heavy some cards get. Now cases "feature" GPU supports.

Eh, my case mounts the motherboard horizontally. Works just fine.
It's almost like a curse, ShackNews went downhill and we ditched that bot, now another one is falling victim.
PCGamesN was never good.
I've stated PC Gamer would be pretty good to have previously.
lets get rid of pcgamesn so we can have absolutely no news and no one should provide alternatives when discussing getting rid of bots
Eurogamer is semi-decent and ArsTechnica's gaming section is mostly really good, but they don't post as often as other sites like PCGamesN.
hello cyberspace i just got my new ati rage can it run crisys

Eurogamer, PC Gamer, and ArsTechnica
With a combo of all three I think we'll do just find without PCGN
Shitty PCGamesN article
At least it's not rock paper shootgun
Wait so the article has nothing on how the card performs or benchmarks - it's literally 'these are the specs I could have given you in an easy to read table but have them in prose form instead'?
'also it is quite cold'
I wrote a better version of the article:
Gigabyte done released themselves a new graphics card. It is an GTX 980. It is over-clocked to make it go super fast and is very cold because it is cooled by a waters. It has lots of RAMs and many Megahurts. It's quite good I think. It probably maybe costs a lot, who is to say???
Common even the mods realize how bad this bot is, lets get some new ones in here to bitch at
I also can't find a price tag but I suspect I could make my own liquid cooling setup for a 980 that would do better and would be reusable in the future for the same price.
